It’s a bit of walking.
It’s a bit of walking. Especially if you are going to the opera house as well. So travel light. If you have small kids (or a tired Grandma) take one of those fold up beach trolleys ($75 from Kmart) those things are priceless when lugging kids and stuff around! (And tired Grandmas)

Everything is a stone throw from the Quay view Opera House, walk over Sydney Harbour Bridge, The Botanical Gardens, Lady Macquarie's Chair visit the historical Rocks have a beer in the oldest pubs in Sydney a few claim to be.
Macquarie Street is a walk up the road there is an amazing amount of history in this street, the first signs from penal colony to a colony, might be best during the week where you can access some of the buildings.
If none of that suits just sit and enjoy the worldof circular key coffee and watching the world go by

Take time to figure out how to use the transportation card - some news and cafe stores sell them and then you load the cards by paying using your credit card and can use the card for ferries and trains.
Loading the card with more credit card payments is tricky - May need to go to a store and have them load the card for you.

Great place to spend a day or two; plenty to see and do (cafe's, restaurants, tours, etc.) and a good place to make a base for a Sydney trip. Nice to come back at the end of a busy day and take in the scenery of the sun setting over the city from the quay.

Location, location, location. Balcony overlooking Sydney Harbour. Easy access to ferries, restaurants, Circular Quay, Opera House, Botanical Gardens, and Cruise terminal. Loved, loved our balcony overlooking the Harbour. The apartment was attractive and well equipped. Appreciated the washer and dryer in the kitchen area. You could pay 3 x more for a room nextdoor or stay at Pullman with a far superior room, same view, and larger balcony. No brainer.
Free self serve laundry for hotel guests.
Excellent rooms
Comfortable beds
Located across the road from the number 2 tram (last stop is at the hotel) that will take all the way to circular Quay and all stops in between
This is an awesome hotel
The buffet breakfast was quite plentiful and good.
The location of the hotel was very convenient to the Circular Quay. Easy walking to the Opera House, Sydney Bridge, The Rocks area, all the transportation including the ferries. The tram was 1 block away and inexpensive. Tap a credit card on and off so that was easy.
Beautiful hotel in a great location. It is in easy walking distance of the train station, Circular Quay and King’s Wharf. The hotel itself is lovely and staff friendly. Our room was clean, spacious and very comfortable. We’d definitely stay again!
Great location, spotlessly clean. We stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment which had cooking facilities if required. Close to Overseas Passenger Terminal and other transport at Circular Quay. Lots of restaurants and pubs close by for meals. Some things showing the age of the building but willing to overlook this as the great points by far outweigh the bad. It will be our go to for future Sydney stays.
The hotel was in a nice location in The Rocks area and close
walking distance to the Sydney Opera House, Circular Quay (ferries) and the Bridge Walk experience. There were restaurants and coffee shops close by. The roof top pool was very nice.
The hotel is very well situated in the CBD a short walk to Circular Quay, shops and restaurants. Room had an amazing view and was very spacious and comfy
The Fullerton is located on George Street, one of Sydney’s main thoroughfares, with easy access to Circular Quay, the Rocks and other city attractions. This very modern, 5-star hotel sits behind a historic post office, making for a very attractive combination of the historic and the modern. Our room was a little small, but very comfortable and staff were responsive to requests for coffee and mugs. We were expecting a smaller, more intimate hotel but were very pleased with our experience.
Close access to tram stop. Hotel is only 15 minutes by tram to Circular Quay ferries, The Rocks, Opera House and Royal Botanical Gardens. Shopping districts are 10 minutes away.
Beautiful modern apartment in stunning historic building. Nested between Pitt and George St, only 2 mins walk to Circular Quay, the location is unbeatable. The apartment is beautifully appointed and everything is clean and high quality. The bed is so comfortable! The host was delightful and very accessible. Easy access to the apartment as well. Staying here made my trip to Sydney extra special. Will definitely be back 😊

What Guests Said About Circular Quay:
We had dinner at one of the Circular Quay restaurants 'the Sydney Oyster Cove' and being a coeliac was excited to see gluten free on the menu, however my meal wasn't gluten free when it arrived just ruined the dining experience, especially considering the cost of the food and drinks
Weekly train ticket is probably the cheaper option if you want to venture further afield than the CBD. However it is rather expensive and cost $84 for the weekly ticket, but this still was the cheaper option for us as we were visiting lots of places and we were only there for 4 days, so gave our ticket away to some others at the airport. The cost of staying in a hotel in the CBD was expensive as well. Wouldn't stay and dine in the CBD again because of the cost.
