The tv/sitting room felt like a sweatbox even with the AC on full blast in the bedroom. Eating dinner in the restaurant was not an option as they closed it to their guests to hold a private function. Small beach with restaurants and a few shops. I liked that it was quiet, peaceful and not touristy. Felt very safe for a lone older female traveller. Probably not ideal for groups of young people who may prefer a livelier place. I loved it. Very close to the airport but the noise of the planes was not intrusive.

Best stay - Bogomalo beach resort Best food - Joet's There is no other good option available. You can compromise a bit by staying at Mariaariose. Bogomalo beach is best and less crowded beach, where you can take your kids and spend quality time and there is also one watersports provider.

Spa with magical fingers of Augustinho and Rajani. 5. Dinner at Joets with CABO, Crab, Prawns with live singing of Bryan. 6. Visit to Naval Museum. 7. Discuss with Simran if you are staying at Coconut creek for visit to the island. 8. Those who want to stay sea side may choose Bogmalo Beach resort. There are several restaurants close to the property. Breakfast is available at cafes close to the bogmallo beach. The host - Austin is extremely kind and helpful. He picked us from Airport when we couldn't get govt taxi from Airport. He also arranged milk for the kid late at the night. It has been renovated and decorated very tastefully and maintained very well. The caretakers of the place cooked delicious breakfasts and tea every morning and cleaned the place everyday to be spotlessly clean. Bogmalo beach is really close - 4 to 5 mins by walk and a nice beach to swim and relax. As we visited during Christmas, we were able to witness the Christmas celebrations in the beautiful local church with the lovely local people.

Also the Naval Aviation museum is just a 2 min walk from this resort and is a must visit. The best part, however is the food, it's amazing and kudos to the chef. There is a taxi and a bike hire contact available at the resort.

Bogmalo beach is just at 5 minutes walking distance from the guest house. Velsao beach was just 35 mins drive from the guest house. The rooms were clean and spacious and had home like feel. Austin (host) was very gracious and helpful in every matter. Would recommend this stay 10/10.
