The location was great, the restaurant and also the area around it was done very pretty. The welcome snack was huge and extremely tasty. Staff was very friendly. 20 minute walk to the water temple, good to do, not a pretty walk as you have to follow the main road.

The staff was very nice. It was very calm place except the evening karaoke. 😁
We enjoyed free coffee, water and tomatoes in the lobby.
We liked the whole concept of staying in the container.
Plus we enjoyed the option of ordering food from the local restaurant. (Good food for good money).

There was beautiful garden with many flowers, and beautiful chickens walking through a field of flowers.
There were rest areas on the roof overlooking the lake.
Beautiful Ulun Danu Bratan Park is front of the hotel. We could visit before it got crowded with group tourists.
The restaurant didn’t have wine, but we could bring wine.

I started writing this review before we left so i would not forget the multitude of positive points here at Atas Awan.
So many positives we decided to stay an extra night.
Although we have been before one forgets the beautiful uniqueness of this property.
From stunning views to top quality food to amazing staff who cannot do enough for you its just been one totally perfect stay.
Of course the gardens as well are a sight to be hold so well done to the garden team also.
Here is perfect for just doing nothing really or perhaps reading or a game of cards or special time with your partner and if in to Yoga they have an excellent room for Yoga groups.
Note no tv but who cares when you have scenery all around you. They do have good wifi just the same.
If you are considering staying in central Bali and want to enjoy a beautiful temperate climate with no air con needed here is your perfect getaway.
We of course will return and tell them when booking are 2 or more nights possible.
In closing as past hoteliers we acknowledge in tropical humid climate maintenance is essential as wear and tear are always an issue for a property over time but here they do their utmost for your stay to be trouble free.

With amazing weather and multiple picturesque locations in and around, Bedugul is a must visit for people looking to explore the REAL Bali.
I have been to Bali twice and find Kuta/Seminyak/Nusa Dua and the other most frequented places to be too touristy and commercial. You will enjoy every bit of the humble hospitality that the Balinese have to offer when you explore the unexplored!
The locals treat you like royalty and are the most polite of indigenous population I have come across throughout my little travel across the world

bedugul has limited offerings. good passing thru spot. the temple is disappointing and the market has quite a lot of possible purchases but the shop owners are very pushy.
the botanical gardens and the lovely garden centre lined street leading up are worth a wander.

Bedugul is great for a day time trip to see the temple and lakes, for a few hours. Some nice warungs with cheap and tasty food. Wouldn’t recommend staying overnight in bedugul though, especially if you don’t have a motorbike/car yourself.

Great place, quiet, relaxed, cool (1200 - 1500 m), Botanic Gardens are spectacular cloud forrest, view and food from Danau Restaurant, the Temple at Lake Bratan (opposite Danau Restaurant), Temple at Lake Tampingan, strawberries and boiled peanuts at the markets, fire, view, gardens and meals at Warung Restreasi, highly recommend a few days at Bedugul.
* Staff are very kind and welcoming.
* Pathway from the lobby to the lake is beautifully decorated with flower plants. Good for taking photos.
* Room is clean and we can find that the hotel is providing good amenities (welcome fruit, welcome snack, bathroom amenities is good).
* Smart TV in the room with an adjustable wall bracket.
* Hot shower in the bathroom is at good temperature and strong pressure.
* We also like the bonfire and BBQ dinner in front of our cabin. This is a fantastic experience.
The location is exceptional perched on a hill overlooking Lake Bratan and to the mountains all around . And the UNESCO world Heritage site Pura Ulan Danu is in front of the hotel maybe 5 minutes walk . The food from the DeDanau restaurant owned by the hotel was very good and the breakfast was a delicious feast they even give you cake ! When I next come to Bedugul this will be where I stay
The view is beautiful, and even more magical when the clouds clear out, we can see all the way to the ocean. the room is large and very confortable , the shower is huuuge! breakfast is absolutely delicious, the best we have had in Bali. the waterfalls near by are absolutely magical and worth all the steps ;) the fresh air of the top of the mountain feels good
Great guess house and place to eat meanwhile you spend your time in Bedugul. Room very cleaned with a comfortable bed, cool place to practice meditation and yoga, and with vegetarian and vegan opcions too. The owner, Elena, was really nice and kind with us. She was hospitable and very altruistic. We were so grateful that I hope we meet in a future again!
This place was one of the best on my tour of Bali. The views are spectacular with a good sized room with fan (no AC, don't need it as it gets quite cold) and big bathroom and a swimming pool that has stunning scenery of mountains and rice terraces. There's even a gym and can have massages there and a very cute dog and cat (which was in a cage sadly B-C).
The views, the “adventures” feeling, in the forests’ and mountain feeling, the most friendly host Agus, Putu and the staffs;
The delicious foods, the large eggs, the coffee, the SPECIAL VEGGIES, the free FRUITS gifts, the Special Order “Chicken feet” are very delicious.
The location is close to Bedugul Botanical Garden and Beratan Lake.
We love this place
The room was clean and every piece of fabric was fragrant ☺
The owner and staffs were nice and friendly
They have restaurant, and we highly suggest to just eat there. We went out and bought overpriced food somewhere else, with the so-so taste
The scenery when we step out from the room and the hotel was extraordinary
The location is great. The rooms are nice..their tent-style rooms are different from other hotel rooms. The bathroom is quite narrow, but the hot water works very well. So, it's okay for me. The staffs are friendly and helpful. He provided us wood fire for us to make campfire at night. The scenery around the hotel is also beautiful.
This is such an awesome place to stay and the view is breathtaking. The location is good, short walk to Botanical garden and lake. The staff are very friendly and helpful. A must stay in Bedugul. The breakfast is also delicious.
But if you are not very mobile, best to avoid as there are many steps.
The rooms were very clean and big. The bed was comfortable. Outdoors shower was a nice touch. Fridge is the room. Fan working like crazy, even dried our clothes.
The breakfast was really good for "free" hotel breakfast, which was a lovely surprise.
The staff and the owner were very nice.
Calming and relaxing villa. Fresh and clean air. Breathtaking view of hill and forest with mist in the morning. Close to Beratan lake and Pura Ulun Danu Beratan. Very helpful staff.
Don’t hesitate to ask for additional request as the staff might give complimentary treats.
the staff of the property are amazing, the owner Pondok Nyoman is a very nice guy! the hotel has everything! including one of my best place! Gym! 💪🏽 no worries they rent motorcycle there! they arrange taxi drivers and everything! amazing place! thanks Pondok!
The location is great, it has an amazing view over the rice terrace. Easy to reach and to reach the surrounding attractions in Bedugul, friendly staff and spacious rooms. The gardens are very well maintained.
Amazing and authentic traditional Balinese hotel. Cozy and clean houses, large bed, hot water shower, and even full size bath. Good breakfast included, good choice of options.
