Enough room to store 4 bicycles.
Plenty of space for 4 people to hang out.
Nice big TV.
Great heating - we arrived after being wet all day and were quickly warmed up. The flat has a clothes airer which helped us to dry out all our wet clothes.
Selection of tea and coffee was most appreciated.

Lots to see and do all around ; mountain biking in the forests ( recommend Ae forest with bike hire and cafe) Lots of local history from gunpowder to Robert Burns . Drumlanrig castle near Thornhill well worth a visit . Beautiful place with a breathtaking view. Very pretty garden. The house is absolutely gorgeous, very spacious, comfortable furniture everything super clean and brand new. Jan and Colin are the nicest people on earth rescuing us from the back of beyond with two flat tires. I want to come again and stay much longer.

We called in to a few pubs and the locals were all very friendly and chatty even to us English ha ha. The town was clean and we had a nice walk across the river along a park then back again. There was plenty of places to have a drink. We only went for the football at Queen of the South and I would go there again given the chance.

However on the Sunday evening, after the Book Festival, There was nowhere suitable available in Dumfries to take three children for an evening meal before travelling home to Stirling. Terry & Lynn are the nicest hosts in the world - nothing is too much trouble, they are really friendly & knowledgeable about the area. The breakfast was brilliant. We will be back.

The staff were superb and nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent and it was ideally situated for accessing Dumfries town centre but far enough out to be quiet and peaceful. We’ll definitely stay here again if we’re ever visiting Dumfries or the surrounding areas.
