We arrived in the dark, and our host was so gracious, and came out to meet us at the street, because we were a little lost. This property far exceeded our expectations and was even better than the pictures. The host were so kind and assured that every need was met. The property is so beautifully designed. Guests have maximum privacy, but use of all the amenities. We had such a nice visit with our hosts and received great recommendations for things to see and great restaurants. I didn’t think places like this still existed. It is a slice of paradise!

Incredible property, easy and private ocean access. Long private beach with large shallow pool in front for swimming. Snorkeling just beyond that. Kayaks provided for paddle to public atol (motu) nearby. Lots of Snorkeling around the motu as well. Owner met us at airport with rental car. Owner gave a book full of local tourism information, restaurant recommendations, etc. She spent an hour with us getting us settled in and oriented. The home is perfectly maintained and spotless clean. Fresh flowers everywhere. Well appointed kitchen, super bathroom with big walk-in shower. Very comfortable bed. A/C works great. This is a great find.

Sophie (Sof) and Patrice’s (Pat) aka Sofpat fare was more than we could have hoped for. It looked in real life just the same as the pictures in their advert. It was clean, well equiped with everything we required. The fare was private, it was easy to access. The location to town was perfect. To be fortunate enough to have access to a great pool really worked for us and to have our own car to use the whole time we were there was the icing on the cake. As much as everything I have written was superb I really would like to write also that over and above how the fare was and equiped it was the engagement, the hosting, the caring from Sophie, Patrice, Agnes, Mahealani, and Hinenui that my wife and I will most remember. Right from our arrival at the airport and to be greeted by Mahealani and Hinenui these two strong and beautiful Mao’hi women who picked us up, then to meet the matriarch of their family Mama Agnes who brought us a freshly prepared breakfast each morning that was more than my wife and I could eat. We were lucky to meet Sophie and Patrice the day before we left Raiatea and although our time with them was brief, both were the utmost of hosts to us. My wife and I have already decided to return in June 2026 (at the latest) and we’ll only be staying with Sophie, Patrice and their extended family. We’ll start french language lessons as soon as we arrive back to Aotearoa (New Zealand).

The location on the lagoon was amazing. We really appreciated being able to borrow the two kayaks, and snorkel from practically the back door. The host was very responsive. The location was convenient and easy to find. The host has a very well behaved dog, and a friendly cat who would stop by for a visit. I said it once, but I will say it again, the location on the lagoon was amazing.

Com vista para a sua praia privada de areia branca, o Fare Oviri Lodge disponibiliza bungalows de estilo polinésio com um pátio privado e vistas encantadoras para a montanha e para o mar. Michael and his wife were absolutely wonderful hosts, they are putting in a lot of work to make the property even more beautiful. They were very attentive to our needs, and helped arrange excursions (best to arrange before you arrive, they fill up!) The bungalow was lovely, clean and roomy (fresh flowers in the room when we arrived). The shared space had everything we needed to prepare meals. We indulged, and had two breakfasts prepared for us, we were so full we skipped lunch both days! Kayaks are provided with nice snorkeling, and the huge archaeological site within paddling distance. We encountered dolphins on our day paddling. Rays are common, but we missed seeing them. We absolutely recommend a stay here, they are equipped to host couples and entire families.
