Property was nice, clean and the location relative to the park cannot be beat. That said we stayed in a Sunday and a lot was not open in the way of food. The advertising of closed by noon is understandable but add that to what was closed and it felt odd and not welcoming to be staying there, more of a “if you must stay here tonight then so be it” type of vibe. The room was cheaper for the time of year but still 200 dollars to not feel welcome doesn’t leave the best taste in your mouth. We just bought our gold passes and were trying it out so we know for next year, and maybe it’s because we go to Disney World a couple of times a year but we are used to feeling more welcomed and not as though we are at a hotel shutting down operations the next day.

Super clean. Friendly, helpful staff.
Super clean. Friendly, helpful staff. Vietnamese and Mexican restaurants just steps away. Diner with real breakfast like 1/4 mile drive away.
Only downer was minimal "breakfast. To be fair, it did offer hot waffles. But no eggs that I saw.

Great location.
Great location. Many stores and places to eat in just a couple minutes walk. Only a few minutes down the road to the Cedar Point island road. Felt comfortable walking in the area and getting around by car is very easy and not congested as I had expected it to be.

I didn’t like anything about that place.
I didn’t like anything about that place. That’s why I left after 10 minutes of arrival. The place look very insecure people with bad ass suspect smoking marijuana were roam in the front of the facilities. The parking lot in the back had a huge sign said no parking next to a dumpster. The following day I receive an email from the property saying disregard the sign I was in there and I wasn’t gonna disregard the sign. I didn’t feel comfortable parking my car on the street with this suspicious looking people were standing and drinking and smoking.

We were there for a baseball tournament at Sports Force.
We were there for a baseball tournament at Sports Force. We stayed at Sawmill Creek and it was PERFECT, just 5 minutes down the road. Honestly, Sandusky was busy during the holiday weekend and it was nice to be able to go right down the road and avoid the traffic!

Cedar point is really it. Nickle Plate Beach was awesome.
Cedar point is really it. Nickle Plate Beach was awesome. Sandy at Shore Line Inn was amazing. And Sherry at Starbucks rocked. We are at steak and lube and the food was just ok. But I went to pay with cash and they said they were cashless bc I needed change. I still left a 50% tip because I’ve been in that industry for over 20 years. So I’ve NEVER heard of CASHLESS!! But my friend paid cash and didn’t need change and it was just fine.
First time staying here and it exceeded my expectations! Location was absolutely beautiful, very scenic views, bar outdoors and indoors, big fire pits with lots of seating, spent some time in the arcade. T.G.I Fridays plus a Starbucks on the property. Theres so much to do and many ways to find entertainment even on just the hotel property once the cedar point park closes. The King Room was great for two, big bathroom. Wonderful housekeeping service & front desk staff. Thank you!
Location is excellent for those going to cedar point. Just about a 10 min drive, of which most is the drive down the causeway into the park. The breakfast was good. It was a buffet so you got a good selection of items. The cost was $16.99 per person, but if you have a season pass to cedar point, there is a discount. I believe it brought the cost to $12.99. Not bad considering it is at a hotel and the price does include drinks. They had juice, coffee, and soda.
This property is located right next to a busy intersection with a train track. We were woken up by at least… AT LEAST … 6 trans blowing a whistle for the intersection before they came through in the middle of the night. I wouldn’t have chosen this hotel had I known that would be the case. It was close to cedar point but not worth losing that much in sleep!
They tried to charge 100 deposit and there website said 25 on their site. They refused to refund my money and as well this site also. I'm basically out and never went to the hotel because they said nothing about a 100 deposit. I'm not happy about it at all. I should be refunded for it PERIOD
They were friendly, the craft room and activities for children were fantastic. They had games in the lobby and an the pirate ship was interactive. The water park was clean and was well run although none of the water guns were working. Overall good experience.
The perfect budget hotel for a visit to Cedar Point. The hotel room was clean and large. The check in was easy, and the free bottles of water a nice touch. The breakfast was fine for the price, and perfect to fuel us before hitting the themepark.
Hotel's indoor swimming pool was closed for maintainence. Location is great, close to stores, restaurants and the Interstate. The complimentary breakfast included Hot waffles, scrambled eggs and sausauge which was a nice surprise.
Nicely redone hotel at the end of the causeway close to cedar point. Great amenities in the room including free beer and wine in room and free bowling. Very cozy feel. We will return!
I had an issue with my booking but the receptionist was very patient and kind while helping me. The breakfast bar setup was very nice and clean. Very nice looking hotel.
Nothing this hotel is gross...the elevators smell absolutely disgusting...and the beds were covered in stains...all 4 rooms rooms they offered us completely horrible
Easy to get to cedar point. Room was extremely basic and dated, glad I brought slippers, wouldn't walk across the carpet in bare feet. Walls are very thin.
