We went to historic attractions ( Susan B Antony Home) as well as the museum of science and several local restaurants. We were there for a few days preceding the eclipse in April. There is a lot to do in Rochester and you can get there by car or Amtrak.

Rochester is really a very nice city. We love the walkway along the water. It is beautiful and love the downtown architecture of the buildings. We love Strong Museum and the Seneca Zoo. Our two favorite activities every time we go!

Rochester offers some great restaurants and sights to see even when you are just passing through the area. The Owl House was a favorite spot as was Strangebird. We also walked around the Strong Museum and the Museum of Play.

Eastman Kodak Museum was great.
Eastman Kodak Museum was great. Walking past all the mansions on East Avenue was even better! The waterfalls were solidly impressive and there were lots of old buildings to admire in the downtown core.

Best advice I can give about Rochester; visit Tony D’S.
Best advice I can give about Rochester; visit Tony D’S. It’s right on the river, has indoor and outdoor seating, and has upscale meals. Nice atmosphere, chic enough for a date, but relaxed enough for family.
Courtyard Rochester Downtown was the best place to stay for visiting Colleges with our daughter. The hotel looks just like new, it’s beautiful
,the room was as beautiful, spacious, confortable, and super clean. The staff was super nice and helpful. We loved that there were lots of places to eat and hang out just crossing the street, also that it had a parking lot for our rented car and an ease ride from the hotel to both Colleges that we visited. I would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely come back
The moment I walked in I was in shock of how beautiful and clean the place looked the person at front desk was very friendly and kind when I got to my room one of my stove tops wasn’t working and I told an employee that was in the hallway and not even a minute of me telling them maintenance was at my door I was very happy and pleased I wish every hotel was like this one the best part about it was that I was from out of town for funeral services and they really made me feel at home thanks
The hotel is conveniently located in front of the Rochester airport and is near possibly the only mall (with Walmart in it) in the city. The staff is friendly and nice. The hotel serves morning breakfast (due to covid19 concerns, we had to tell the staff what we wanted and they brought it out to us rather than being served in the common breakfast room).
Nice quiet surroundings, super clean and nicely decorated, spacious rooms, comfortable beds, toilet/shower worked well and the nicest staff of any hotel we have stayed at…especially Michele who was so friendly and always doing her best to make our stay easy! No complaints, only wish I had stayed here on my other trips to visit my daughter at U of R.
comfortable beds, very good showers, very good buffet breakfast with good variety of hot and cold selections, clean rooms, congenial staff, location close to several shopping/eating areas and to major highways. Plenty of parking although it did get very crowded at times. Staff were very good throughout our stay, friendly and helpful.
Beautiful building and room.
So much space and storage. Lovely area.
Buses at University/North Goodman (9) will take you to centre of Rochester in ten minutes for $1. Have change or a dollar bill.
Lovely cafe around the corner offering great breakfast. Further down the road is a courtyard of restaurants.
Really enjoyed the stay.
the staff was very helpful and respectful. I want to thank Tiffany for her services I also want to thank the older gentleman who helped me in the morning with late check out. Honestly for what you pay for the rooms it’s actually worth it..I will definitely be returning when I come back to Rochester. thank you quality inn staff
The place was more spacious than I realized, very much enjoyed the reading/sitting area in the front. The kitchen had quite a few utensils, pots & pans, etc. We were there so such a short time, basically only to sleep, that we weren’t able to make use of it. There were supplies to make coffee but we didn’t even do that.
We arrived very late (plane landed at Rochester Airport at 12:39 AM-last one off the plane due to wife requiring wheel chair assistance). Picked up rental car then to hotel by 2 AM. Hotel staff gave us extra time for checkout, so very appreciative of this. Did not take advantage of breakfast.
Room was good, but for that price we expected a little bit more. Staff was friendly and helpful. Free laundry and dryer is also great. Breakfast was fine. There is nice seating/chilling area close to the river and nice place for a walk.
I loved that my name was on the tv when we walked in . The layout of the room was amazing. I’ve never had a hotel room with a pull out couch that had a draw curtain to separate the bed and the couch for privacy and that was amazing.
The location of the hotel in relation to the museum of Play was excellent. It was such a short walk, you could run back and forth to the hotel lobby to use their facilities. It also saves paying for parking. Hot breakfast was good.
Everything. You get what you pay for. The price was great especially for what you get. Morning coffee, amazing staff and it's your regular typical hotel but with great location. Literally everything was so convenient.
I like the location. The surrounding area has a lot of stores and restaurants. It is right off the highway which makes it convenient. It is a comfortable hotel. I always stay here when I'm in Rochester.
Very friendly and helpful staff! Location was exactly what we wanted, thought here were other hotels that are just as close.
Breakfast was fine - exactly what you would expect. Free WiFi was fine.
Hotel over booked . We didn't get to stay there. We had to find another hotel on our own at 9pm. We had to pay extra at the other hotel. I'm still waiting to hear back.
