We found everything to be first-class at Broadhaven Bay View. Majella, our charming and wonderful host, contacted us pre-arrival just to be sure that we would have no difficulty finding her home. She provided some very useful information to ensure that there would be no problem. Majella made us feel very much at home, attended to our every need, and we have no hesitation whatsoever in warmly recommending her to others interested in exploring this breathtakingly beautiful corner of the Island of Ireland. Portacloy is a fabulous walk and lovely beach - no one there.

A small friendly town surrounded by spectacular beaches and coastline with plenty of informative signage of the history of the area. Also recently opened a beautiful new interactive museum called Solas and has a gorgeous little bakery coffee shop An Builín Blasta as the hub of the town. A hidden gem!

We loved the scenery, Shore Rd cliff walk, and the tidal pool, Large Aldi and Euro stores, lovely little cosy pubs, and of course ,The Talbot Hotel is fab to eat in 😍 There are Hairdressers, Barbers, Beauticians, Takeaways and carry out, A Nice circular walk around town possible and good parking. People are friendly, kind, can't help you enough, eager to give good advice but going there in early Spring means there's very little entertainment, maybe one day a week, usually Thurs. Weather is quite cold and blustery, on the extreme west coast of Ireland and everyone is waiting for season to start after Easter to Sept .Many can speak Irish fluently but don't..Alot of fab Holiday Homes which are unoccupied for at least half to two thirds of the year ..would like to return when it's warmer n.more visitors around.Carmel - 10Scored 10

This is an exceptional property with all mod cons in the centre of the town with easy parking. It was spotlessly clean, and the beds and duvets were super comfy. I would highly recommend it. The only downside was the lack of a coffee maker, but the rest of the facilities more than made up for this.

We went while there was the Far West Festival on and the entertainment was brilliant. Fresh fish in the restaurants and the food was very fresh. Very easy to get around and the locals were very helpful.

Its the main town at the neck of the Mullet peninsula, with stunning walks and drives around Broad Haven and Blacksod Bay nearby. The town has good eating and drinking options, with several traditional Irish pubs. The Talbot is good for seafood. McDonnells, O'Ds and the Western Strands serve good Guinness.DonalIreland

In the end I let them call an ambulance. When I got back the next day the cleaner was about to go into my room. I told her not to worry as I hadn't slept in the room..I told her I went to hospital. The land here is so narrow that you are quickly at the sea and Belmullet. There are two huge fires which were lit when we arrived. A welcome pack of food was there for us. The hosts were accessible and friendly. They sorted out any problems quickly. It is extremely good value for money.
