The breakfast was good for a continental but the £10 additional cost for a cooked breakfast was a a bit disappointing however the quality of the cooked breakfast was excellent and good value but should have been included in the original hotel price /cost ?

The view is outstanding from Harbour View House. The staff were helpful and friendly. A free drink on arrival was a nice touch and the breakfast in the morning had a range of innovative options. Our Room 7 had a great aspect and was comfortable.

We had a 'Bay View' room, but the window looking over the Bay was 'sprung', so there was just condensation and we couldn't see anything. Frankly this was very disappointing as we had paid for a Bay View room but didn't get a proper view. I wish I had pointed this out when we checked out as I feel we should have had some money back as a result. Also, there were no proper lights in the room, so we couldn't read in bed. Also, why do English hotels insist on double quilts? These are unheard of on the continent - people have their own quilts - for goodness sake Harbour View catch up with the times!

The property I booked was outside the town of St Ives in a place called Consol. However, was advertised as being in St Ives. There was builders rubble in the parking space. I was told that my 'private entrace' was through the french windows of the property and I would not, as a single traveller, have felt secure in such a situation. I did not stay at this property and would be pleased to receive a refund please.

What a picturesque town with outstanding natural beauty and so much to see in the way of art and ceramics. It does get very crowded during holiday times so I would recommend going out of season. Highlights include the Tate St Ives, the Barbara Hepworth Studio, the various galleries and the beaches. The walking could be difficult for anyone with limited mobility but there are ways around that in terms of getting transport. A really stunning spot. Plenty of excellent places to eat from beach cafes to independent bakeries and coffee shops to fish restaurants. It seemed that everywhere was very dog friendly too and many visitors were there with their dogs.

I’ve been coming to St Ives for 50 years so I’m slightly biased but it is a beautiful place with 5 beaches. Numerous good places to eat. Lovely little shops with different crafty bits in. Mostly flat when you are in the town area. Good location for exploring more of Cornwall if needed but plenty to see and do in St Ives.
The Cabin is not on the hotel site but that for us was a good thing. others may disagree. It was spacious and cosy and Carbis bay had gone a long way to ensure our stay was really nice and gave us all sort of creature comforts not afforded in the main hotel rooms. For myself and my wife we very much enjoyed it with excellent access to the bus and train into St Ives. I would give it 11/10 had it not been for the bed so its gets 9, and I really wanted to give it full marks.
The place is not a hotel as it is mentioned. It is more of a Bed and Breakfast place.
The landlord is really super friendly and accommodated us very well.
She is very helpful to understand our needs for the breakfast.
The breakfast is very good and homemade.
She is able to accommodate us even when we checked-in late in the night.
The location of the house is another plus, if you are ok with visiting the nearby shops by walking.
Whoever conceived and decorated this hotel had exquisite taste. The bedroom and restaurant were lovely spaces to be in, and to look out of at the incredible view. Breakfast gets a special mention. It is far superior to a buffet: you just get given a comprehensive a la carte menu and order whatever you want. As for the staff: what a team the management has assembled!
The property and owner are welcoming. The apartment is well equipped and well maintained.
It has a parking space which are not available for many properties in Cornwall. It is on a bus route to St Ives and the ‘coaster’ bus covers the local coast in a circular route inclusive of Lands End land mark, it’s cheap to travel by bus.
Ideal base for exploring.
This hotel is an oasis of luxury in the central St Ives - we had contact from Razzie the owner pre arrival checking if he could help and then met us pre registration . He was unbelievably caring helpful and professional and enhanced our visit . It makes for an unforgettable holiday experience and will recommend Host to family and friends .

The ambience typically traditionally British and the lounge ,dining space , all and of course the Family room ..nicely spacious and well thought out for the guests ..also the bathroom was traditional and nice
The Location of this hotel was the best and matched by only the Harbour Bay Hotel . .
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay; the location was perfect, and the hotel presented beautifully. Our room was bigger than expected and spotlessly clean. The breakfast we had was lovely, really good value for money. The staff were friendly and helped us out with parking when we checked out.
Julian and Julie were the perfect hosts. Instantly friendly and warm. Their knowledge of the local area and Cornwall very good. Their advice on places to visit and best routes to travel was a bonus. The breakfast was exceptional. Our stay at the Olive Branch was perfect in every way.
Very friendly staff, made us feel at home. Youth lead, not your typical classical formal hotel staff. Very modern in how it’s run. Very very clean. Great breakfast. Literally a minute away from the beach, we could hear the waves at night. Beautiful design and rooms very spacious
Lovely reception staff on arrival and very welcoming. Waiters and Waitresses were very polite and friendly too.
Location is perfect and the hotel is very cosy and well maintained. Rooms are clean and comfortable and amenities are as you’d hope.
staff friendly and helpful. high quality decor, furnishings, comfy beds, complimentary Gin and Sherry in room. excellent spa facilities. general feeling of luxury and personal service with beautiful sea views. tasty food.
The location an views from the front of the hotel were perfect. The rooms are neat but need an update. We did have non sea facing rooms so the back view is over a street and is a little noisy
Gorgeous apartment set in stunnjng gardens.
Plenty of space in the apartment, parking space right outside. Hotel facilities were great. Location brilliant for walking into town.
The family that ran the hotel were extremely accommodating and the property and room were stunning. Far exceeded our expectations. Would highly recommend.
