Beautiful decor and spacious, comfortable beds, all kitchen utensils needed. The area is great, nice for a walk around the lakes or forest, close proximity to local town for pubs. Very tasty food at Jakes pub. The overall concept of the park is brilliant.
A nice market town with excellent facilities. We ate at the Titash which was very good, Naxos, twice which was excellent and had fish and chips from Rumbles Fish Bar which was OK. We drank in the Whalebone which is typical Wetherspoons fare as well as the Swan and the Crown Hotel both of which benefitted greatly from friendly staff. I would recommend the Norfolk Cheese Company and Goddards the butcher both of which were top-notch. All of the aforementioned were within a two or three minute walk of our accommodation, the Beehive which I would not recommend.

Market square and good shopping facilities and places to have a meal - if in Downham, check out The Cave Restaurant, who provided us with a delicious meal - definitely the place to eat, which is really comfy, spacious and nicely decorated, with friendly, courteous staff.
Downham could do with a Costa Coffee 😆

Saturday there's a great Market we enjoyed walking around the Many stalls especially the seafood stall and the many other stall's also the Shop's great selection of small to medium sized shops selling almost anything & everything.
So glad I found this place.
The rest of the wedding party had booked in at a local hotel so when I came to, it was fully booked and im so glad it was!
This place is wonderful and had everything we needed for our weekend away celebrating our friends wedding.
Literally a few minutes walk from the local shops and wedding venue. I didnt feel restricted here like I would staying in a hotel. You have a fully working (lovely) kitchen and large bathroom. It was like a home away from home.
Would definitely recommend and would love to return.
The Crown Hotel is a quaint and quirky old Free House built in the 16th century, with renovations in the 19th century. As was to be expected, the bedroom was smallish, but clean and comfortable, with a double bed, some space to work at a desk, and a fair amount of storage space. Water pressure and heat control in the shower were both very good. The room was quiet, and free on site parking was a bonus! The location was very convenient for our visiting family in Downham Market.
Didn't see much of the owners but they were very pleasant and always on hand if you need them. Comfortable relaxing apartment. Couldn't be better placed for all Downham Market facilities. Although it was self catering it was a nice touch to have fresh milk in the fridge for when we arrived and a nice little snack basket. Own parking space on the premises. Recommended.
A lovely historic hotel located in the middle of town. Staff were very friendly and more than happy to help with things. The room was very comfortable and had everything you need for an enjoyable stay. The bar downstairs was welcoming and very cosy with two fires going. A great place to stay in Downham Market.
Set in a beautiful location with the great river Ouse flowing past the Denver village with many walks and beautiful views. Lodge is beautiful and bonus with the hot tub. The village of Denver is well situated in between historic Ely and on the outskirts of Downham Market. We will definitely be returning here.
I liked the old English character of the hotel. The room was clean and comfortable and had a modern bathroom. The staff was friendly and looked after us well. The pub was a true experience, fireplace and furnishings straight from the 1800’s. We could walk all over town from this location.
We spent 3 nights at the Beehive which was perfect for two people. It was spotlessly clean and cosy, the location on the High Street was great, with all the amenities of the lovely little town of Downham Market on the doorstep. we wouldn't hesitate to book here again.
Wanted a comfortable room for the night with good value and that’s what we got. Clean, comfortable, friendly and the room was so quiet we slept amazing. This hotel is excellent value for money.
We were allowed to park the car down a siding from the hotel which was useful. A member of staff helpfully gave us batteries for the TV remote so that it worked.
