We loved our stay at casa Penafalcão! The location was awesome right next to a beautiful creek.. very quiet and pretty village. The house itself was fantastic, cozy, clean and all amenities provided (even food in the pantry and some welcome cakes in the kitchen). Beautiful house in quiet village and only 20mins drive from a range of shops. We were a family of four and the house was very comfortable and spacious. The kitchen was fully equipped with plenty of plates, pans and cutlery. There was a large fridge and freezer and washing machine which were both very useful. The house was spotless and Josè was an excellent host. The outdoor area is fantastic with BBQ, kitchen area and plenty of seating. The saltwater pool and 2 very large umbrellas were very welcome in the heatwave we experienced as was the very efficient air conditioning. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this house for a wonderful stay.

It’s a very comfortable, and calm place to stay with beautiful views around the house. The rooms are big, very clean, and bright with daylight through the large windows and doors. The rooms were warm and beds are very comfortable. You can enjoy your reading, and meals with warm sunshine on the balcony with beautiful views. You can hear the birds whistling, and the big dogs are cute and friendly. The location is ideal for anyone who loves to explore the areas with mountains, rivers, lakes, all within an hour of driving. Just behind the house you can walk, jog or bike for kilometers in nature with lots of cork trees. Hence the place is excellent value for the money spent for accommodation. The host is very kind, friendly, and does her best to make sure your stay is comfortable. I was welcomed with fresh orange juice, a nice little surprise for me. Cookies and chocolates, tea and coffee. Even basic ingredients to prepare a meal in the kitchen were ready. What struck me was the attention to detail in everything in the house given by the host, and how well they have been arranged. A big thanks to the host, I enjoyed my stay :)
