From the wonderful greeting at checkin to my departure 4 nights later everything was perfect. The hotel is located in historic Quito which makes walking to the main sights easy. There are good restaurants minutes away. The included breakfast was absolutely fantastic and they even packed breakfast for me on my departure day as it was early. Staff are eager to help with all your needs. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Service was impeccable and breakfast was buffet style, small but very good, and different options. I've to say that the shower was the best shower with hot water and pressure we had and the soap is awesome too!

If you choose the Mariscal area ,it is one of your best option ,in my opinion. It is like visiting relatives , who you don’t know for the first time and they are opening their house to you. It is a medium sized quest house , with character and you get this hospitable feeling which you can’t get from the bigger hotels or hotel brands . The breakfast is really nice and the staff is friendly and helpful.

Offering free WiFi, Hotel La Basílica Quito is situated in Quito’s Historical Center and is housed in a Colonial-style building. This hotel is a 250 year old heritage house. It once belonged to one of the heroes of the revolution. The thorough renovation preserved the history while adding modern conveniences like enough outlets to charge the electronics. The rooms are absolutely beautiful. The old style furniture is lovely. There are nice plants everywhere. The location could not be better, just a 2 or 3 blocks away from Plaza Grande. The breakfast is exceptional. It includes a good-sized dish of fresh fruit. The owners are very helpful, calling taxis and giving advice.

Majitelé jsou velmi milí, nic nebyl problém. Dostali jsme zdarma upgrade do většího pokoje. Pokoje jsou zařízené velmi jednoduše, ale účelně. Snídaně byly skvělé, s výhledem na Cotopaxi. Jídla v restauraci nám také pokaždé chutnala. Ubytování je nedaleko vstupu do národního parku. Bylo možné si domluvit průvodce přímo v ubytování. Na každou otázku jsme vždy dostali odpověď. Můžete krmit i lamy. V pokoji byl i přímotop, tak bylo možné se ohřát. Voda tekla horká. Výpadky proudu (nedostatek elektřiny v celém Ekvádoru) zde nebyly tak citelné, neboť byl k dispozici generátor. Do pokoje jsme dostali i lampičku na baterie. Parkování přímo u ubytování. Byly jsme naprosto spokojeni.

We had a medical situation with the altitude and the hotel stuff immediately called an ambulance that helped us a lot as part of their included services. Food, cleanliness, and friendliness was top and we will definitely be coming back if we have the chance.
