Set in the very heart of the scenic village of Balsthal, Hotel Balsthal is conveniently located 3 km from the A1 motorway. Very central. Lovely rooms and very comfortable. The restaurant was good too.

Hotel Amaris is located in Olten, in the vicinity of the train station, near the picturesque old quarter city. The hotel offers sophisticated rooms and suites, as well as seminar and meeting rooms. Hotel was perfectly located from Olten Bahnhof and I was surprised with an upgrade to a larger room facing the station - so this rail enthusiast was in heaven. Olten is a small town but has a busy junction linking nearly all Swiss major cities - so the variety of train moments is staggering. I don't think I ever saw an empty platform. The room was spacious with a maasive bathroom and a balcony with a chair completed the perfect space. I only wish I had longer to stay.
