Bellwood Manor is immaculately and faultlessly furnished with an excellent staff. Every detail is designed and brilliantly executed. The food is brilliant with an excellent chef. I cannot recommend this stay more highly. It is a sheer pleasure to spend time at Bellwood Manor.

The staff was simply amazing. Everybody was super friendly and went out of their way to make sure we had the best stay possible. The staff organized a small Birthday surprise for me (we didn’t even tell them about my birthday). Even though there were lots of guests, we had the feeling that all staff was super attentive, anticipating any possible needs from our side. After our stay, we felt spoilt and had a hard time to adjust to „regular good service“ in other hotels. Special thanks to Mr. Nadan, Vithu and Shiva who made our stay exceptional. They went above and beyond to take great care of us. In the end we were very sad to leave these great people and we’ll make sure to come back. Of course we also enjoyed the food, the view, the swimming pool, the spa and the pool table. We loved celebrating New Year’s Eve with the Argyle team. It was the most extensive and delicious buffet we ever had. Regular breakfast and meals were also super delicious and high quality.

Very friendly and helpful staff! The manager and the Chef became our assistants and friends for all the days of our stay. The chef prepares delicious and varied food. They always ask you what you want to eat and they can cook anything. Very clean rooms, beautiful architecture of the building (inside and outside). Just a great view from the window! The view opens onto the mountains and tea plantations, and the loggia has a comfortable place to relax with a table, chairs and swings. The rooms are very spacious! There is a sauna (steam bath), after hiking in the mountains, that's it! The staff is very caring, friendly and helpful. We stayed here to make it easier to get to Adam's Peak. The staff made us sandwiches and coffee for the trip, and they were always in touch with us. There's also a cool karaoke music system, and one of the guys found us a guitar and we sang together! There are also board games. We recommend it to everyone!

The food was exceptional and the location was beautiful and serene with stunning views of the lake. The staff was friendly and always smiling.

Perfect to stay if you want to visit Aberdeen and Laxapana Waterfalls. You get exactly what you expect from the photos. Extremely friendly service and the most amazing food. We stayed there for 2 nights and felt so welcome. They helped us with everything! Highly recommended!!!

This property is in the middle of tea estate. Food is awesome and they cook wit care and love. Very safe for solo traveller. One of my best stays. Property staff is excellent, Manu the property manager will make sure to give you direction before you arrive. He also made sure to take me for a small trek and showed the near by places. I truly felt cared and well taken care of.

The resort is built in the middle of a dense forest. So you are literally immersed in a therapeutic trance of water running, birds chirping and critters singing all day and night. The basic room is luxury in size, with a garden separating the ensuite toilet shower. The breakfast, lunch and dinner can be adjusted to your dietary requirements. There's a chemical free swimming pool that uses water from the mountains. Then there's a natural pool with water directly flowing down from the mountains. Ashley, the resort manager, has a heart of gold and he leads a team who will contort themselves to attend to your needs. The staff were just common village girls and boys, and they deliver friendly yet professional quality service, considering their humble beginnings. So tip them generously. Dilan, the massage therapist does a massage truly reflecting Sri Lanka's spirit -- relaxed, gentle and yet to the point. After the massage, you can use the wet and dry sauna. If you are keen to try Ayurvedic treatment, simply ask. It's a perfect getaway from city hustle bustle and paparazzi. A sanctuary for the soul. A place to heal your spirit.
