It is a charming place to stay in a beautiful area. The room was very large and comfortable and spotlessly clean. The breakfasts were hearty. The wellness and play areas are well appointed. And the owners are so kind. We left talking about when we can go back!

Our stay at Hideaway Hotel Montestyria Chalets & Suiten was absolutely wonderful. We especially loved the private breakfast in the Chalet—it was such a lovely experience to enjoy it together as a family, making it even more special for our little one. The location was breathtaking, and everything about our stay was perfect. We also had the chance to relax in the sauna, which was a great addition to our getaway. Exploring the beautiful surroundings with our two-year-old son through scenic hikes made the weekend truly memorable. It was the perfect family retreat, and we can’t wait to return.

CHALET am Schneeberg See si trova a Puchberg am Schneeberg e prevede la vista sulla montagna, un giardino, una zona spiaggia privata, una terrazza, un ristorante e un centro spa e benessere. La posizione è molto bella abbastanza isolata e il lago di fronte splendido, il monolocale caldo e accogliente. Il bagno un po’ piccolino e un consiglio sarebbe quello di dotarlo di qualche sapone anche monouso, manca qualche punto di appoggio ma è molto pulito ed essenziale. La cucina è fornita di tutto ( l’unica mancanza è un asciughino) e avrete anche un barbecue sul terrazzo. La televisione vi da la possibilità di connettervi con i vostri servizi streaming. Il ristorante dello chalet dove siamo andati una serata lo abbiamo trovato ottimo per mangiare.

Overall a great place, which still looks like in its glory, a hundred or so years ago. Mainly a seminar hotel, but happy to receive individual guests. Easy train ride from Vienna 70 min to Payerbach-Reichenau. From there the hotel offers transport, or alternatively walk 20-30 min along Schwarza river (avoid the Main Street). Indoor pool. Good breakfast in impressive historic dining room. Lunch and dinner options. Friendly staff. Good price-quality relation. (The hotel, while very nicely renovated, is not necessarily luxury, at least the parts that I’ve seen.) Good hiking options in and around Reichenau.
