We arrived late in the evening. The staff were welcoming and efficient. We were able to relax in the lounge bar despite the hour. The general manager greeted us herself, and later in our stay remembered who we were and checked that all was ok with our stay. We loved the milk machines and other sustainable options

Beautiful boutique hotel in a Georgian building, that is very well kept. They added all these nice touches with the music playing from the radio in the room and being able to play records from the record player in the room. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was lovely. The location is just next to the Pulteney bridge, but it’s just outside of the main city centre, so it’s a little quieter.

Wonderful hotel right in the centre of Bath's Royal Crescent. The staff were perfect, helpful and attentive. Many small details marked the stay, which shows the quality of the establishment (magnificent building, splendid interior). The room we stayed in (we had an upgrade) was on the back side of the hotel and had its own little terrace; it was very large with a bedroom area, a ‘sitting’ room, a very large bathroom and an entrance hall. We had no direct neighbours, so the room was very, very quiet. The breakfast was excellent (small buffet, and menu offering different types from full English to eggs benedict, and a vegetarian menu). The spa was very pleasant (too bad the sauna wasn't working, but the hammam, bubble bath and swimming pool were). We went there often and there were never more than 5 of us in the spa. We had also booked a treatment (‘work it out’ massage), which was absolutely brilliant (many thanks to Meg)!

I stayed in an executive double room which was spacious and elegant. Fridge and an ironing board in the room. I must mention Stewart, one of the concierge team. He was exceptionally service minded and friendly.

This property is absolutely beautiful from start to finish. The welcome at reception was warm and genuine, setting the tone for a wonderful stay. Both the dinner and breakfast were exceptional — delicious and beautifully presented. The rooms are charming and well-appointed, with incredibly comfortable beds that made for a great night’s sleep. The gardens are stunning, and the outdoor heated pool is a true highlight — peaceful, relaxing, and a real treat. A fantastic experience all around.

An amazing retreat with excellent staff and services and beautiful gardens! The spa is also a highlight by itself! Totally recommended.

The property is undeniably beautiful from the Atrium Bar, to the outdoor terrace overlooking the gardens. The front service staff were very welcoming and accommodating, and I would say the value was well worth the drive here. I would say an upgrade to a room in the mansion is worth it, looking out the window of a terrace garden view was stunning. The breakfast buffet is also worth the add-on, it had a good variety of hot foods and the restaurant was beautiful.
