I loved the design, the location, but most of all - the wonderful staff & delicious food, beautiful garden! We have been travelling for 3 weeks and staying at various beautiful places, but SOKI Atami is without a doubt, the best! I look forward to returning soon before we leave for home.

The room was bigger than expected which felt good. The onsen had a lot of options such as a sauna and cold dip among more.

Located in a 100 year-old Registered Tangible Cultural Property, Ryokan Hostel K's House is located in Shizuoka, a 7-minute walk from JR Ito Train Station. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. The historical building and the interior with all of the sitting spots was well done. The kitchen facilities were clean and well stocked and the AM coffee was very much appreciated.

Nestled in the tranquil Hida Mountains, Miyama Ouan Kyoritsu Resort offers traditional accommodation featuring hot spring baths and nature views. Food was excellent, hot springs were relaxing and well maintained. Extra amenities such as free sake, beer/wine, late night ramen, and live music was very appreciated.

Fridge was prepared with soft drinks and beer.

Our special thanks goes to the very nice male staff who render his efficient services in table-setting for the many dishes of traditional Japanese cuisines, both for dinner and breakfast. He guided us the unique flavors of each type of food and the best way of eating with various sauces and condiments. He took the initiative to give us pamphlets about the sight-seeing spots nearby. We took his advice and did another hour of touring to learn more about Atami. It was a very hospitable and warming journey we had had with this hotel. Thank you for the very kind services of all the dedicated staff as well.

Located in Takayama and only 48 km from Takayama Station, Hakuunsou provides accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. The onsens were really nice. I appreciated the simplicity of the reservation system as well.

1.6 km from Takayama Station, Iroriyado Hidaya is a recently renovated property situated in Takayama and features air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and private parking. This Ryokan is very authentic with all the original details. The owners are warm, friendly and thoughtful. I will definitely come back here with my whole family in the very near future. Ai shimashou!
