Located in a 100 year-old Registered Tangible Cultural Property, Ryokan Hostel K's House is located in Shizuoka, a 7-minute walk from JR Ito Train Station. Amazing building, one of a kind location. Nice onsen onsite, as well as a couple of private baths. Wonderful staff. Definitely recomended.

Nestled in the tranquil Hida Mountains, Miyama Ouan Kyoritsu Resort offers traditional accommodation featuring hot spring baths and nature views. One of the greatest resort stays! The location is very beautiful, the resort is. Very clean, comfortable and offers a huge variety of additional complimentary services! We enjoyed everything! The resort provide free drinks, ice popsicles after hot onsen, sake tasting! The yukatas were very pretty and comfortable, not to mention fun to wear :) The staff were very friendly and helpful all the time! We were very happy to enjoy a beautiful private open air onsen, it was a very memorable experience!

33 km from Koibito Misaki Cape in Shimoda, 横川温泉湯殿ととのゆ provides accommodation with access to a hot spring bath, hot tub and open-air bath. The location was perfect for getting away from the busy streets of Tokyo, though I highly recommend renting a (small!) car to get here, as it is tucked away from public trsnsportation routes. Our room was clean, surprisingly well equipped and comfortable. Service was spot on, communication with our host was easy and quick. We never saw any of the staff though, which made the quality of service just that much more impressive. We were the only guests staying here at the time, so we had all facilities to ourselves (an introvert's dream). There were plenty of instructions in english for all the general how-tos, check-in and check-out was easy using the machine. Prepare to face some bugs around the area, we had a few interesting encounters with moths by the entrance. The room itself was equipped with bugspray and deterrents, though we didn't need them as our room was perfectly wildlife free. The bug screen in the private onsen kept the bugs at bay, allowing us to bathe and sleep while enjoying the sounds and smells of the surrounding nature!

Syukaen Yunohanazen asub Atamis, 27 km kaugusel Hakone-Yumoto jaamast, 29 km kaugusel Shuzen-ji templist ja 43 km kaugusel Daruma mäest. We were so well looked after by our room attendants. We told them we wanted to leave early the next morning and they came to set up breakfast early at 7.30 on the dot (normal breakfast time is 8am). You really get the feel of Japanese hospitality. Our room attendant couldn’t speak English well but he explained the whole dinner and breakfast to us using google translate. Everything was delicious using regional specialties. The outdoor bath in the room was amazing. This was a really special part of our trip. I recommend arriving at the 3pm check-in time so you can bathe as many times as possible! The dinner experience was really cool. It was a full set up from 6-8pm in the room and they came to set up our futon beds after.

Hakuunsou asub Takayamas, Takayama jaamast vaid 48 km kaugusel. Majutusruumidest avaneb vaade mägedele. WiFi-ühendus ja eraparkla kasutamine on tasuta. Kamikochi jääb 26 km kaugusele. The room was very accommodating, the onesns were amazing, we didn't have many other guests so we entered whenever we wanted

Hiljuti renoveeritud neljatärnihotell Iroriyado Hidaya asub Takayamas, Takayama jaamast 1,6 km kaugusel. Kohapeal on aed, ühine puhkeruum ja privaatne parkla. This is a really beautiful place to stay, if you want an authentic experience you must stay here. The accommodation itself is very nice and well equipped, and the staff is very nice, I would love to come back to this paradise!
