This is a traditional Japanese ryokan with public baths (gender separated). Dinner and breakfast are amazing and plentiful, with locally sourced organic produce (even coffee!). Our room (Japanese room with private toilet) was to the left of the entrance. It was very spacious. The heater worked very well as autumn night was a bit damp and cold. The beds are futons on wood bed frames on tatami, and they are super comfortable. As I have a whole-leg tattoo which is usually not permitted in the public baths, I notified Ranko in advance, and she reserved the private bath for us. The private bath was a very beautiful blue ceramic bath filled with warm (I don’t think it’s very hot) healing hot spring water from the area. Ranko’s warm personality really made the stay memorable. Be sure to ask her for recommendations of the areas. She is a well of knowledge of the area!

Kameya Hotel se nachází v destinaci Curuoka a poskytuje ubytování s bezplatným Wi-Fi a neplaceným soukromým parkovištěm. Kamo Aquarium je 3,5 km daleko. Amazing history and gardens. Rooms were enormous, with open views of the beach and with a cedar bathtub fed by hot springs in the room.

The all-inclusive format is amazing. It felt like an immersive experience into Japanese culture and customs. The dinner was amazing and we truly enjoyed it. The possibility to use a private onsen was special.

Yuze Hotel se nachází v destinaci Kazuno a nabízí pokoje s výhledem na hory. Jen 38 km odtud je Lyžařské středisko Appi Kogen. This place! I cannot describe how amazing the room with private onsen is. Super spacious and comfortable, with a stunning view to the mountains. Breakfast and dinner were delicious (buffet style), enough vegetarian options. There's a free drink bar available for the afternoon/evening hours as well. I didn't use the public bath because they don't allow visible tattoo's though.

Takasagoya Ryokan se nachází v destinaci Zao Onsen v regionu Yamagata. Jen 200 metrů odtud je Lyžařský rezort Zao Hotsprings. The rooms were very spacious and the food was exceptionally. It was a fantastic authentic experience.

Okawaso se nachází v Aizuwakamatsu, 13 km od Aizu Higashiyama Onsen, a nabízí bezplatné Wi-Fi a restauraci. Všechny pokoje v tomto ryokanu jsou klimatizované a vybavené TV. We had an incredible stay here: the ryokan is impressive (especially the arrival with the person playing the shamisen), very beautiful, the food excellent and adaptable (we took vegetarian meals), the establishment is child-friendly (e.g. yukata at their sizes, arrival kits, high chairs and adapted cutlery), the room is magnificent and very suitable for a family. A bookable shuttle service is in place and works very well, allowing us to leave and arrive from Aizu Wakamatsu station. We also reserved the outdoor bath for private use: incredible! The staff is adorable and helpful: thank you very much!

Tokinenoyado Yunushi Ichijoh is situated in the Kamasaki Onsen district in Shiroishi, a 15-minute drive from Shiroishi Station and Shiroishi-Zao Station. Excellent hospitality and amazing dinner and breakfast, you cannot be disappointed

Aoni Sanso se nachází v destinaci Senboku a nabízí ubytování s zahradou, neplaceným soukromým parkovištěm, sdíleným loungem a barem. Nyuto Onsen je 7,6 km daleko. Beautiful people, excellent food, and fantastic onsen!

Hohoemino Kuyufu Tsuruya se nachází 15 minut chůze od stanice JR Tendo a 50 km od Sendai. Nabízí přírodní termální koupele. Wonderful room with amazing private Onsen. The Kaiseki dinner was beautifully prepared and a unique experience. The Ryokan team always made sure to accommodate our wishes. We really enjoyed our stay even though our Japanese was very basic.
