A great place to spend your day away from big cities and sights flooded with tourists. This is a ryokan so you get a nice futon bed, tatami floor, yukatas. The view from our room was great! We’ve also ordered a delicious Japanese style breakfast. The public bath is actually two rooms that have a lock, so you could go inside with your family together. This was very nice for me because I’ve been traveling with my partner and a 1,5y son. The area is quiet and nice. There is a temple you need to go uphill. The area is mountainous with lots of stairs. You take the cable car to get there. Keep in mind that there are no supermarkets there, you need to go down by cable car to Ikoma. But there are some restaurants and cafes so you won’t get hungry. I think it’s even more beautiful in fall, you can enjoy momiji. We’ve stayed in late March and the weather was not the best, like 10-15 C. So we’ve used a heater in the room and in the bath. Don’t hesitate to ask the owner to show you how to use it

Wakasa Annex features an outdoor hot public bath and free WiFi. Other facilities include a 24-hour reception, drinks vending machines and free parking. Todai-ji Temple is only an 8-minute walk. The traditional room was amazing and very spacious, with very clean facilities and a small balcony for a relaxing bath outside. The onsen upstairs was very clean and very inviting with exceptional facilities. The staff were amongst the most friedly people we met on our travels around Japan providing us with a guide on popular routes to explore around Nara and offering additional services such as taking a photo of us and a free gift bag. The traditional breakfast was incredible, providing us with a very memorable experience.

Sarusawaike Yoshidaya se nachází u rybníka Sarusawa-ike a nabízí veřejné lázně. Chrám Kofuku-ji je vzdálený pouhé 2 minuty chůze. Wi-Fi je zde dostupné zdarma. The staff were so friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The facilities were amazing as well, beautiful, clean and rich in culture. The room was comfortable, the private onsen was free to use and really beautiful. The chef special dinner and breakfast was delicious, some of the best food we had while in Japan. Well done to this wonderful place, I would recommend it to anyone who is visiting Nara. Remember to have dinner there!

Thank you very much for the kind welcome! We really enjoyed our stay here, the beds were particularly comfortable and we adored the kotatsu, looking into buying one in the future hahaha. The breakfast was fab, really appreciated the more traditional Japanese breakfast! Also thanks so much for bringing us our forgotten items after we had left for a few minutes, our forgetful selves are very appreciative! :)

Outstanding traditional property! Special arrival to Gyokuzoin, accessible by bus or taxi, welcomed by monks and welcomed to join the fire ceremony in the morning. Traditional room, onsen and meals. We highly recommend!

Hotel New Wakasa se nachází 12 minut chůze od vlakového nádraží Kintetsu Nara a nabízí pokoje zařízené v japonském stylu, včetně podlah pokrytých typickými rohožemi tatami z tkané slámy. It is a very nice experience if you want to emerge into Japanese lifestyle. The food is excellent and the location just next to the deer park but also close to a bus and train station is great. The view from the room or top roof is stunning

I really enjoyed everything, it was a great opportunity to get to know Japanese culture! Incredibly friendly staff. The hotel is located near the entrance to the deer park.

Hotel Mikasa se nachází 10 minut jízdy bezplatnou kyvadlovou dopravou od vlakového nádraží Kintetsu Nara a nabízí venkovní lázně a jídelnu s krásným výhledem na Naru. Parkování na místě je zdarma. Mikasa was a wonderful place to stay for a visit in Nara. Perfect place to unplug and treat yourself, thanks to the atmosphere of the hotel and the a tentative staff, that went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. The rooms and onsen are complete with all amenities needed. The onsens in particular are beautiful and relaxing, and are available late in the evening, so can be used after dinner as well. The traditional dinner and breakfast in a personal dining room are an experience in itself. Especially recommend the room with the personal hot bathtub. The room is very spacious and the futons the staff lay for the evening are surprisingly comfortable after a trip to the onsen. If we ever get the chance to visit Japan and Nara, we will definatelly book another stay.
