Featuring great views of Mount Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi, Konanso boasts natural hot spring baths and large Japanese-style rooms with traditional tatami (woven-straw) flooring. It is only a 2-minute walk from a ferry stop, where guests can board sightseeing cruises. Free WiFi is offered in all areas. I went with my family (2 adults + 2 toddlers aged 3 and 2) and we were awed by the great view (windows) overseeing the lake. Room size was awesome to fit 2 huge luggage and there is free parking opposite. There are yukata for kids and a smaller potty adapter. The staff who served us dinner was awesome and my kids love her. Just note that the bath water in the bathroom is not from hot spring but hot spring water is available at public bath. Room amenities are great (Air purifier, soap, lotions etc. provided) and not too old (Considered well maintained). Hotel facilities are nice. Location is good because there is a convenient store nearby and walkable to ropeway attraction. Would very much want to go back again.

Absolutely amazing stay with views to the lake and the mt Fuji. The staff was welcoming and extremely nice. They accomodated any needs we had and I am sure they are capable of more. We were able to borrow bikes and enjoyed the ride around the lake. The room is bright and beautiful. The onsen has fantastic views for the perfect sunset.

Just 250 metres from Zenko-ji Temple, Matsuya Ryokan offers simple Japanese rooms with tatami-mat floors, a green-tea maker and an attached Western bathroom. The hotel features public baths.

Guests at Jizokan Matsuya Ryokan stay in rooms with shoji paper screens and traditional futon bedding. All rooms are air-conditioned and include a TV and slippers. Best location we stayed at in a 2 week holiday in Japan. The other hotels we used were all conventional ones and we wanted to stay in at least on Ryokan and chose this one. The location is perfect, really close to Zenkoji Temple which is the most historic area in Nagano, with lots of really nice shops to explore. The room was perfect and we really enjoyed the traditional Japanese breakfast

The 3-star ryokan features mountain views and is 20 km from Zenkoji Temple. The ryokan also offers free WiFi, free private parking and facilities for disabled guests. Simply the best accomodation I have experienced anywhere! Our stay with Maki, her Mother and Kenta dog was relaxing and magical after a week in Tokyo and Maki does absolutley everything to make you feel welcome and at home with her gentle, warm hospitality, The Ryokan itself is an elegant traditional building and is beautifully kept. The amazing Kaiseki dinner and breakfasts that Makis mother presents every night are a wonderful way to experience traditional japanese food after a relaxing onsen bath. Maki was simply the best host, she even drove us up to the start of our walk trail and booked our lunchtime soba restaurant. The local area is breathtaking even in late autumn / early winter and a walk around the shrines is enough to fill a very pleasant day, Wel ove you Maki and we will be back!
