So far the best stay in Sri Lanka. It is a basic accommodation in the middle of the nature. The host and her husband spent more than 1 our with us searching for sleeping birds. I got some great shots. They searched with us in a book for the names of all the birds. Sunrise is stunning to watch right out of the balcony. You can walk around the lake and see so many birds, crocodiles etc. Just the people on the street who wants to offer you a guided tour where a bit annoying, but this has nothing to do with the accommodation. The food was excellent and the prices reasonable.

Honestly the most welcoming host on our Sri Lanka trip. - Everything was sparkling clean! - Well-equipped, we even had a small fridge in our room. Rooms are modern with huge comfy bed, a/c - Our lovely host organised our safari for great price, great food and experienced driver. - Also, they made the best food in our trip so far. We tried many local, non-local places, but their food was far the best! - They will make sure to provide the best experience you can have! I really appreciate the opportunity to stay at Ariya!

Tucker and drinks? Bloody ripper. Couldn't fault 'em. And get this, they sorted out the whole safari for us, no dramas. Staff? Top blokes, every one of 'em.

Only a 5 - minute drive from the famous Yala National Park is Cinnamon Wild Yala. It boasts chalets with private balconies and free Wi-Fi. It features an outdoor pool and a restaurant. Amazing location, right in the national park, the room is nice and clean, good shower, facilities are great. Staffs are super nice, they really take care of guest so well, and very friendly with children. I am so happy with my stay.

The guy picked me up from the bus station which was very generous. He then took a group of us in the tuk tuk to see the pretty countryside and helped me book a safari tour with pick up from the hostel for a reasonable price. I had a double bed to myself with a mosquito net and slept out in the open next to the river. It was beautiful. It is off the beaten track but walking distance from the main road which holds a street market and shops/ restaurants.
