This beautiful Riad is in the middle of the Medina and extremely peaceful. It is run by some caring women. The rooms are decorated with love, and we had real cotton sheets. The terrace is overlooking the sea, and you can sunbathe there. We got some good rest here, and one of the ladies took us to a local Hammam. That was a special experience. The flat’s ‘private’ terrace is overlooked by 2 cameras ( I don’t think they don’t trust the guests - it’s more a security reason) but still - when you are at the terrace you are being watched , The breakfast is reaaaaly basic for this price (€90/ night) - a bit of bread , spread cheese , msemen ( Moroccan pancake) not fresh only warmed up , one egg omelet , fresh juice though ! Coffee was ok but everything exactly the same everyday . I arrived earlier so the cleaning was just a bit rushed so I forgive these cheeky hair here and there .. One more thing - I checked if these are local standards and apparently are sometimes - the staff will enter your room in the afternoon to close the window blinds - I wasn’t warned , just left the room in the afternoon and discoverer that one of the ladies did the blinds. The decor is also not the best - it’s lacking the taste in some areas - things are random or don’t match ! Terrace furniture is old plastic beds , some pieces of concrete suport the umbrella etc - it looks good on the pics but the reality is different . I’ve been to Morocco many times and for this price I would expect much more. I didn’t mind the loud music from the Sisterhood bar opposite - DJs were playing from around 1pm - 6pm - good music and I’m not sure if that was part of the festival Remember they expect you to pay half of the fee just after booking to their British bank account - Susan was communicating nicely but after money was sent she would stop replying passing you over to her local person in Essaouira.

Great view from the top terrace , the vibe of the second floor apartament is good but the whole place needs a decent makeover. Staff were really nice but note that mainly French and Darija are spoken - forget a small talk in English , not possible WiFi is strong and reliable !!

We were welcomed as if in a family home. Staff lovely and breakfast very good. They organised a sunset camel trip from the riad. We also had a fabulous Moroccan cookery class at the riad with one of the staff which was great fun and delicious!

Gorgeous Riad right in the heart of the old town, staff were amazing. The only issue was that we were charged extra for a second room when the booking stated two rooms.

It felt a bit empty in this riad, there was personnel only in the morning so not much interactions with the staff. This is probably common to all buildings in Essaouira Medina but it was a bit humid and damp inside the building.

Getting to the second room via terrace a bit tricky in winter as effectively outside. Payments in part by bank transfer and part cash were a bit of a hassle.

I would’ve liked more comfortable seating in the lounge area. The chairs weren’t comfortable so we were inclined not to use that room much.

Latifa looked after us very well. Being at the top floor, the apartment was flooded with natural light. The decor was tasteful. I loved the private terrace also. The location to shops, restaurants, cafes and beach made this property ideal for our short stay.

Received a number of emails and messages while on route to accommodations regarding prepayment. Had no access to phone services so did not see these prior to arrival. These messages were a bit disconcerting and unnecessary once I did receive them. Once I arrived and paid all was well but would suggest the owner remove these odd post-booking requirements or at least make it clear in the booking what they intend to send once booking is confirmed. The place is nice and the host is kind, but this did not come across very professionally.

Conveniently and ideally located In the heart of the atmospheric Medina. Incredible views from the roof top terrace. Every one we dealt with was very friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome. The hotel provided excellent recommendations for places to eat and to find everything we needed. We rented the family apartment which had everything we needed and provided a peaceful and comfortable space to relax in and enjoy the views. Highly recommended and great value for money.

From al our hostels in Marocco this hostel was one of our favorite ones. It is a very clean, pretty, good located and safe hostel with very friendly people working there. Having the breakfast at the rooftop with a nice view was so lovely. The rooms are clean and it is nice to have some private space. Also we get a lock for our own door (really safe)! One of the servants also is working at the traditional hamam (two streets from the hostel). She ofered us two hours in de haman (scrub, massage, washing) and it really was our money worth it! We are very happy we have chosen this hostel and the hamam!

There were numerous families with small children staying there (which I guess is good for some) which made for noisy early mornings with children running around above. My room's central location meant there was a lot of noise with people coming and going.

The rooftop area was beautiful beyond belief with lounging, sunning, and eating availability. Provided a map, general information, and wonderful tea right upon arrival. Good breakfast.

The view since our window opened to a wall of a next building. And it would be nice if there would be more staff so they would deliver the breakfast to the terrace (we had to do it ourselves and it is many very narrow stairs up :-)

Nice riad, very kind hostess, great breakfast on a terrace with ocean view. We felt very safe especially after finding a back pack with all the money, documents and credit cards which I have forgotten at the reception for about 1 hour and it was untouched!
