Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

South KoreaThe staff was very accommodating and kind. They did everything right. It is a bit far from where the tourists are however, I like walking so it didn't pose a problem.

AustraliaIf you not looking for super modern hotel this one is for you. Our stay was absolutely wonderful! From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming and professional. The room was clean and spacious. The beds were super comfortable. We also enjoyed the breakfast buffet, which had a great variety. The location was perfect. Plus close to the airport, taxi was around AUD$15 Big free parking is a bonus. We didn't need a car for first couple of days, the car rental company is on premises, so we didn't have any problem to rent a car for the rest of our stay and they we very helpful and pleasure to deal with. Defiantly we'll stay at Pacific Hotel Okinawa again.

AustriaThe furniture and facilities are a bit dated, but this didn’t bother us at all — everything was clean and functional.
I had a very pleasant stay at Pacific Hotel Okinawa in Naha. The value for money is outstanding — the price is reasonable for the quality of service and amenities provided. The staff were extremely helpful and always ready to assist with a smile. The location is also ideal: it’s close to both the city center and Naha Airport, which made getting around very convenient. Several attractions are within walking distance, which was a big plus for me. Highly recommended for both short and longer stays in Naha!

United StatesThe smell is a bit odd in the lobby. Maybe it’s a smoking lobby? Or there are many smokers around the area. I only walked in at night so I didn’t see many people and don’t know for sure about the smell. It’s only in the lobby, so it’s not that bad. The location is good if you have a car, there’s not much immediately surrounding it, but it is very close to the airport.
Very comfortable furniture. I did not take advantage of the meals, since I was only in the hospital to sleep, but the option was available at decent hours. Great water pressure and clean bathroom.

SlovakiaNo offer of excursions for individual travelers.
Perfect comfortable bed. The room had everything I needed (safe box, nice air conditioning, large bathtub. The neighborhood is safe and you can also walk to the monorail. The center is within 15 minutes by peso. Breakfast is only Japanese but I always ate well. The staff is very nice and helpful. Even though English is a bit of a problem. But the translator always solved it.

United KingdomI can see that this hotel was top of the league in the 80s, but hasn't been renewed much since. Nevertheless, the room was clean and tidy, very comfortable, and the staff super helpful and friendly. The location isn't super central, but the downtown is easy to reach with a 20-min walk.

SwitzerlandThe hotel is in an old building, wheras the rooms were lacking modern features. There was mold behind the toilet and the bathroom wasn't quite up to date.
The hotel staff was super nice and tried the best to help us. We could always leave our key at the reception when leaving and could easily pick it up when we got back. The room service was very nice and changed our towels and bed sheets every day. The location is okay. You can walk around 20 minutes to the city center and the bus terminal to get to everywhere else by bus. The breakfast was superb, had a large variety and very friendly staff. The value for price was amazing.

JapanToilet not as in picture of the room. The room picture had the toilet in the corner with space. But the toilet was right as you open the door in the wat of the door and bath, ridiculous toilet position! Also no fan, the bathroom got so steamed up we asked for a humidifier, why would a bathroom not have a ventilation fan?
Great location, great price, great breakfast !

HungaryThe central ventilation system in the hotel is probably outdated and as a result there was a musty smell in the corridors and in the room. The staff were also in constant battle with the mould in the heavy humidity. :-( :-( :-(
The accommodation was comfortable, the breakfast was very satisfying. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We liked the pool and that it was close to the beach. There were two large supermarkets nearby and the monorail (Naha Bus Terminal) was a 15 minute walk. On the way there are many, many small restaurants and bars, not to mention the countless Lawson's, Family Mart, 7 eleven.
