From the very first moment, Nana and Franco – together with their daughter and son-in-law – welcomed us with such warmth and genuine kindness that we immediately felt at home. Their hospitality goes far beyond what you would expect from a B&B; it felt like being part of their family. Every day started with a friendly greeting, a smile, and often a lovely small talk that brightened our mornings. The breakfast was fantastic – fresh, varied, and clearly prepared with love. The house itself is beautifully decorated with a lot of attention to detail, making every corner feel special and inviting. What touched us most was their thoughtfulness: we even received a beautiful painting as a gift, something so unique and heartfelt that we were left speechless. It’s a memory we will treasure forever. On top of that, they gave us wonderful tips for restaurants and places to discover in the area – recommendations we would have never found on our own. Thanks to them, our stay was not only comfortable but full of unforgettable experiences. We travel a lot, but we have never experienced such incredible hospitality. This was more than just accommodation – it was a once-in-a-lifetime encounter with amazing people. We recommend this B&B from the bottom of our hearts.

There was NOTHING not to like.

I loved staying here. The owners and family are wonderful - very welcoming, very friendly, very accommodating. They truly make you feel like family. Their daughter even drove me to and from a restaurant for dinner. The place is spotless. The breakfast was fantastic. It’s only 5 minutes from the bus/train station and 10 or so to beaches and historic center. I would definitely stay here again.

There was nothing I didn’t like - maybe the addition of coffee as well as tea bags in the reception area where you could make your own drinks.

Beautifully decorated, comfortable, spacious, spotlessly clean room. Lovely outdoor space to sit and eat breakfast. Wonderful breakfast with amazing home baked cakes which Nana made each day - they were absolutely delicious - outstanding!!! Nana and Franco and their daughter and husband were the nicest hosts I’ve ever met, beautiful, warm people who welcomed you with open arms and treated you like their own family, so helpful and kind - they truly looked after you. Would highly recommend anyone to stay here.

Nothing !

The room was spotless , quiet location , but only 5 mins walk to beach , 10-15 minutes to old town. Best part … Nana , Franco and Anais, our hosts . They are so friendly and helpful. Nana is a great cook and a talented painter ! The day we left at 6.30 am to drive to airport, they were up 2 hours before normal breakfast time , to make us coffee and cake and say goodbye. We won’t forget staying with these lovely people

The room was beautiful. You can tell it was recently renovated as it was new and clean. We were greeted so very warmly by the owner and her daughter. Both were lovely people and helped us with a few local recommendations. The breakfast was amazing. Location was a short stroll to town centre and beach. Parking was available for our car. A clear 10/10 for this place!

Everything! The location was perfect - a shorty walk to the beach and the historical centre of town. Room was spotless and very comfortable bed. Our hosts were amazing. They do everything to make sure your stay is memorable. Finally, the breakfast is epic. Home made cakes to remember

In the morning we were awakened by the smell of freshly prepared food including delicious pasticciotto and much more! The best breakfast we had in Puglia!The owners, led by Mrs. Nana, are extremely kind, I thank them from the bottom of my heart for their warm hospitality - it's a pity we didn't have more time to spend with them!I have no words to thank them because they made me want to visit their beautiful Otranto again!

This must be the best b&b in Otranto. The whole family are so warm and friendly with lots of good advice for restaurants and things to do. Franco was kind enough to drive us to a fantastic fish restaurant and back one day and we were given one of Nana’s beautiful paintings. Breakfast was delicious especially Nana’s home baking. I loved her almond torte and hubby especially enjoyed the gluten free chocolate cake. The location is great. Only 5 minutes from the beach and 10 to the town centre. A perfect place to stay. We hope to return one day.

Amazing hosts. We felt like we were staying with family. The breakfast and Nana’s cakes are phenomenal. The location is very convenient, quiet and a short walk to the center. We even left with a gift to take back home.

Location excellent . Close to great beach with sun beds and old city . Very close to a large supermarket with excellent choices. The family were wonderful , we arrived at strangers and left as friends.

A brilliant stay. The host family are so welcoming, the breakfast spread they put on is incredible. The room is very comfortable and quiet. An easy walk into old town to explore. 10/10 would recommend and would happily stay again.

Nothing - this is faultless

This is outstanding accommodation - beautifully decorated, modern, spacious, comfortable bed, great shower. It was easy to find, just a10min walk to the Centro storico. Franco and his family were wonderful hosts. He secured a parking space right outside. The breakfast was superb - fruits, meats, pancakes and numerous delicious cakes. One of the BEST places we have stayed over countless trips to many countries.

We absolutely loved our stay in this beautiful B&B, it was perfect in every way. The communication before our arrival was always prompt and helpful. We hired a car in Monopoli and drove to Otranto which we found very stressful. When we arrived at the B&B the whole family welcomed us, organising parking right out the front and giving us a cold drink to recover. The room was modern, very clean, spacious and beautifully decorated. It was lovely sitting out on the verandah. It was great having verandah doors to let fresh in but also air conditioning for when it got very hot. It was great having a clothes line off the verandah to hang our swimmers and towels after going to the beach. The hosts were all very friendly and helpful in sharing their extensive knowledge of the area, giving recommendations for places to visit, restaurants, etc. Breakfast was delicious with lots of choices and fresh coffee. It was served buffet style which we then ate on our verandah at the table the hosts set beautifully each morning. Nana's home cooked cakes were amazing. It was a short walk to a beautiful free beach and the Old Town. Otranto is a really lovely city to visit, it is very clean with sparkling clear water at the beaches. We absolutely loved our stay in this beautiful accommodation with beautiful hosts.

Everything was terrific

What wonderful, warm and welcoming hosts and family. We had a delightful time engaging with them on arrival and at breakfast, which was superb and so generous. The room and bathroom were perfect, spotless and very comfortable. A casual stroll of 15 minutes takes you into the old town, past the beach. I highly recommend Vele d'Otranto to everyone.

We had an exceptional stay. The room was beautifully decorate with quality bedding and fixtures, the location was convenient to downtown, and the breakfast offered was one of the best we’ve had with a wide assortment of offering and home made delicacies. And above all, the hosts were so welcoming and supportive! I would give this the highest possible rating!
