The bathtub in our room took a long time to fill and because the area is so large, the water cooled quite quickly. For this reason it wasn't practical to take a bath, but the shower was hot and relaxing!

Palazzo Daniele surpassed all of our expectations! The atmosphere is understated yet magical, each of the design details thoughtfully considered to maintain the historical aspect of the original building while bringing a fresh eye. What blew us away, however, was the staff: each person was kind, attentive, friendly and open and we were introduced to everyone, including the talented chef and members of the kitchen team. We ate every dinner of our three-night stay at the hotel and were impressed with the ingredients and variety. A breakfast menu item -- "The Perfect Egg" -- became a favorite and lived up to its name! While we were there during the quiet/cooler period of late October, the weather was sunny and mild. We used the dry sauna in the evenings which was a true treat (there is also a steam room). The pool looked inviting and sunny -- perfect for warmer days. And the gardens were serene. Parking across the street on city streets was easy (be mindful of the painted lines indicating it's ok to park!) and we were 1-2 hours away from most of our desired day trips to Lecce, Otranto and Gallipoli (45 minutes away). We would love to come back during the summer to explore and were jealous of the various group retreats that are lucky enough to call Palazzo Daniele home!

Palazzo Daniele is located in a very small, charming town. While the setting is quaint and picturesque, there isn’t much to do locally, so be prepared to venture about 30–40 minutes for dinner, nightlife, and a wider variety of activities. The only real disappointment was that breakfast was not included. Given the hotel’s price point — and considering that most hotels in Europe do include breakfast — it would have been a nice touch to offer a complimentary morning spread for guests.

An absolutely stunning property steeped in history. This hotel has been on our bucket list for quite some time, so it was an absolute delight to be able to have called Palazzo Daniele home for a few nights. Our suite was breathtaking, recently renovated and well appointed. The concrete bathtub was definitely a highlight. The most special part is the open kitchen concept - this is what sets the hotel apart from the rest and makes you feel like you’re at home.

A gorgeous, unique property with impressive interiors and artwork. The interior design is outstanding and the bathrooms are exceptional. The staff really make this hotel come alive - the food is outstanding and it feels like you’ve been welcomed into someone’s home rather than a hotel. The incredible staff (far too many people to name) made our stay incredibly special during our time.

The communal spaces especially the inner courtyard and black-bottom pool are tranquil and elegant. Breakfast and dinner are served with heart: local, seasonal ingredients prepared with care and often shared around a communal table that makes you feel like part of the home. Not sure if the hotel was fully booked (it didn’t seem too busy) but in hindsight we’re quite disappointed with our room. We were on our honeymoon and placed in the room next to the kitchen. Whilst it was quite a large room it was very bland which lacked any special features or decor in comparison to other rooms we’d seen online. It also was quite noisy in the morning, whilst the chefs were making breakfast, waking us up early. Sadly the room brought down the overall stay which otherwise would have been a 10.

The facilities, decor, service were all impeccable! We were in awe as soon as we walked into this beautiful hotel. The service and staff were fantastic, very professional, attentive and friendly. They set up a lovely alfresco dinner for us and made a special dish that we requested for dinner.

It was all perfect!

Palazzo Daniele is a class act. A beautifully restored palace, designer furniture and art, amazing warm service with open kitchen at its heart. Lovely sauna and pool area. The suites are gorgeous with vaulted painted ceilings and Roman mosaic floors. In a very cute town with a 5/5 restaurant Passotempo. All so charming and perfect.

Can't really fault anything. If i was being picky the wifi could be better, but who cares, this isn't about doom scrolling social when you can explore.

The pure uniqueness and pleasure of being able to stay in this place is incredible, charming, rustic, italian history wrapped up into modern demeanour and hospitable palace. Beautiful.

This is a very special palazzo. The pureness and honesty of the restoration is astounding. A very original place. All the staff are amazing and made the stay even more enjoyable. Amazing property. Absolutely magical. We went during low season so had almost the entire place to ourselves. Did a pasta making class which was very fun and the staff were very friendly and accommodating.

There are insufficient words to describe how phenomenal this property and its team are. We stayed for 5 days and could have stayed a lifetime. The Palazzo is magnificent in every aspect. Gagliano del Capo a relaxed town reminiscent of the old , real Italy which still shuts down at lunch time , ehere young and old ascend on the Piazza in the evening , Nonna's and Nonno's are out and about at 11 pm sipping drinks or eating gelato. It's the slow life ...in every sense of the word. The Palazzo's staff were wonderful. Nothing was too much to assist with. The rooms exceptionally well appointed as well as the amenities. There is nothing not thought of. We loved our time in this special place and would return in a heartbeat.

The rooms are stunning with their paired back look and beautiful design. The bathroom is too small and poorly ventilated a legacy of working with an older building and the restrictions it brings but for the price I expected a more spacious bathroom.

The staff are at the heart of this hotel and it's greatest selling point. The refurbished Palazzo has a lovely rustic calmness and zen to it. The local town had music and in the local square in front of the hotel and a good vibe. Food was very good and lovely the relaxed atmosphere and service
