We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

GermanyThe bed is not the most comfortable and the air conditioning had a huge LED that couldn’t be turned off and it was hard to sleep with that light. The bed was fine but not extremely comfortable and since the hotel is in a court yard not a lot of air goes through the windows. A coffee and a pastry are the only options for breakfast
The location was amazing and the host was very nice. It had all the essentials and it was clean. The person at the bar where you have the breakfast is very friendly.

Breakfast was pastry and caffe. The owner was extremely nice. But the concierge told us about a tiny great restaurant to have dinner which was a bonus because the food was terrific, special and the owner was a history buff like us.

GermanyBreakfast is included in the booking. The hotel has kind of partnership or contract with a Cafe, which is supposed to be in the same building. As me and my family went for breakfast, the cafe was closed. After enquiry through WhatsApp, I got an address of another cafe which is at the 5 minutes walking distance. After reaching there, we were supposed to choose one coffee and one croissant 🥐 or something similar. I consider this more of a snack rather than a breakfast. If the price of breakfast is included in the booking, then it should be a proper breakfast (not just a snack and coffee)

AustraliaWe didn’t like the fact that all information about the place was relayed in Italian half an hour before arrival by text message. It took an hour to decifer all the information eg codes etc into English. We were sitting in a hire car in a no parking zone all that time because we didn’t know where to go or how to get in to the room. We were mislead about the room that we booked. We booked a room with a terrace and city or landmark view. There was no terrace or view. The room was very small. Sitting on the toilet was a challenge as there was no knee room between the toilet and shower. The facilities were basic. The host was unhelpful.
The breakfast was basic but fine. However the breakfast vouchers were delivered to our room at 11.10 pm by a random person knocking on the door. We were in bed.
