Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaThe internet at the property was unreliable but the issue was due to the internet service provider not the hotel itself but was still very frustrating. There was no fridge (which I didnt check for) but expected as a standard amenity and the bed whilst comfortable to sleep in was very low and awkward to get in and out of.
The communication and information from the staff was excellent they were so very helpful. It was safe, clean and in an excellent location.

United StatesProcess to obtain access to the room was very confusing, multiple texts that involved credit card verification, how to access the room, too many steps that were confusing, especially after a long flight and then the room was changed at the last minute, our booked room not available allegedly.

New ZealandPassive aggressive communication with the liaison person. A friendly and more professional communication style is required. Location is away from the town. The shower curtain is not fit for purpose - even with careful use of shower head and using very low pressure the experience of showering was very poor. This property is not recommended.
Clean. Walkable to bus depot for cruise ship connection - but not essential as good walking facilities to and from the town, and train station.

United StatesAmos Port Suite misrepresented their advertisement and the agent is hostile, disrespectful, and rude. I submitted a complaint to booking.com. We are senior citizens who traveled with our young grandchildren, less than 1 and 4 years old. We turned in our rental car by 11 a.m. The booking.com stated that breakfast was provided and there is early check in. What we saw when the “breakfast” delivered to another guest, was a croissant, and a small drink. I talked with Amos they said that “You have booked a tourist accommodation; we are therefore not a hotel.” The check in was at 2:30 p.m. We paid over 900 euros, 100 more on arrival, for 2 rooms for 2 days. I asked if we could store our luggage. Their response not to annoy the current tenants and that Civitavecchia was being “Invaded by cruise passengers.” I waited outside for over 3 hours. I sent my grandchildren, and my wife to a place where it was cooler. I stayed outside with the luggage for over 3 hours. We receive the arrival information after we paid our money. It wanted our credit card and personal information sent by text messages. The alternative was to send an email address I worked in computer security. I refused. Issues: a/c did not adequately cool the room, internet had network errors, bed was hard and on the floor; tub was in the bedroom, garbage smell from the outside, ants in the bedroom, no couch, floor, and furniture was of poor quality, no new towels were given, no place to hang washed clothes, and cleaning up the “hearts” that were over the floor. I was told to fix the a/c problem by asking my daughter for help. This was to imply that I am too old to understand the a/c controls. I provided instructions on using the controls and I received no response. Amos offered to book us a Taxi to the cruise ship and then demanded 10 euros. Even after the verbal abuse by Amos, I wished the owner the best by saying, Be safe. His response “do I rape?”
We could stay with our grandchildren.
