Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomIn the evening it felt cold and despite me putting on the heating underground heating or the air con unit it made no difference. Bin was not emptied for whole duration of stay.
Location was great, although Split is very compact. Room was clean on arrival, I had loads of space as I was given a free upgrade from single to double, which was very kind, save me walking up to the all those stairs with my suitcase. Sound proofing was good as people walking and talking all round Split, very noisy with windows open. Room had a min fridge which I didn't use, nice to have, Large TV. Large shower and a real hair dryer.

United KingdomThe only thing that I think could have been better was more toilet roll being provided (only one was provided) and increased housekeeping. I noticed that the room on the floor below had left their bins outside their door (I think expecting the bins to be collected), however these bags stayed there for several days. If you are a light sleeper I would consider the noise levels that are an unavoidable part of staying right in the central part of the Old Town. From my room and with the windows closed I could not hear the noise from the street. However, the mini fridge in my room was pretty noisy and at one point the air conditioning unit was making a lot of noise as well. Having read previous reviews I was aware about the steepness of the stairs leading up to the attic room, this didn’t affect me personally but something to bear in mind as well. I imagine it might be difficult to transport a large suitcase up the stairs to this room.
This is an excellent find for a place to stay right in the heart of the Old Town, you are less than a minute’s walk from Diocletians palace and within about 15 mins from all the main sights in this part of Split. The room itself was spotless and incredibly clean. I liked the provision of extra towels and the clothes rack. The bed itself was very comfortable. The owners are responsive and helpful.

AustraliaA bit hairy climbing up the last set of (almost vertical) stairs up to the door to the Attic room with a suitcase - not recommended for unfit travellers or suitcases bigger than carry on.
Location was excellent

CanadaThe hot water doesn't run for a long time (just sometimes) even though we didn't take long showers. Refrigerator seems like it wasn't cold enough. The clothesline is shared with the people in the opposite building and by the end they had twisted the line and we couldn't use it. But overall this place is still 100% worth staying at.
The bed was comfortable. The room and bathroom are spacious. There's also a closet and dresser to store your clothes. We were pleasantly surprised. The host is nice and answers quickly to messages. The location was even better than we imagined! Steps away from a good coffee shop : D16. And amazing restaurants like Fig and Uje Oil Bar. Tons of gelato spots too. Also steps away from the Diocletian's Palace. 7 min walk from the bus terminal, 13 minutes from Bacvice beach and couple minutes from the waterfront! The location of this place couldn't be better. I highly recommend staying there.

The location - once we found it - was amazing - two minute walk to the centre of Split - a great coffee shop and a 'cat garden' below our room - we were very happy!

AustraliaJR Luxury Guesthouse 2 is located right in the centre of Split Old Town, which makes it a very convenient base for a stay in Split where sightseeing is part of the plan. The apartment itself is pleasant, modern, and clean. Our host, Negri, was very helpful with instructions on finding the apartment and gaining access. Overall I would recommend JR Luxury Guesthouse2 to anyone thinking of a short stay in Split.
