How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable, with a lovely surrounding environment. We did run into a small issue, but the host responded quickly and solved it in a very fair way, which we truly appreciated. Overall, it was a great experience and I would happily recommend this place to friends.

Helena our host was lovely, provided all information instantly, very helpful. Location perfect just 5 mins to old town via uber or bus. Clean and had all amenities that we required. Thank you for a great stay

It takes 20 to 30 minutes to walk to the old town, and the bus stop is 3 minutes away from the apartment, with a 5-minute bus ride. The room was clean, and the owner was a very helpful and nice person.

We had problem with smelly bathroom , but host acted immediately with chemicals ,but seems like more serious city pipes problem .
Lovely host , good location, comfortable beds , good kitchen facilities, quiet surrounding, all you need just around the corner

Our host Maria was incredible from the beginning. She responded to my messages quickly and gave us recommendations for restaurants nearby. The location was super safe and was easy to get to the Old Town - we could either walk in 25 minutes or take the bus which took >5 minutes.

Maria who manages the property was the perfect host. We were delayed, arriving after 10pm but she waited to meet us with the key & had a parking place ready. She advised us on where to get a meal & where to catch a bus in the morning. Dubrovnik is very accessible by bus. Just three stops away. The studio was spotlessly clean & everything you could need available.

There was really bad smell in the toilet all day
Good location, good A/C, free parking place, good little veranda, supermarket and bus stop and port close by. Old town 15 min walk or 5 min by bus.

Maria was a friendly hostess and helped us with everything. The apartment had private parking, kitchen, wachine machine, etc. and it's 5 minutes from the bus station on foot.

Maria is very helpful Staff with good English knowledge. The apartment is clean and calm, the parking place is spacious and safe. Dubrovnik Old Town is 30 minutes walk from the aparment.

The landlord is quite nice!! The location is very good. There is a supermarket nearby within a 3-minute walk. The bus station is only a 3-minute walk away. In addition, it was very quiet at night and we had a great sleep.

The water splashes out fr the shower area because the shower curtain is too short. A microwave oven would be great to have
When you walk down about 60m from the property to the main road, there are supermarkets, a nice restaurant named Culto and a bakery. Maria had Nescafé gold instant coffee n 3-in-1 Nescafé which we like. The property is clean

Cooking gas cylinder was in the room. This is a safety issue. We pointed it out to the host.

A little boxed in between other buildings, so there is no view.
Nice and clean apartment, with complete and functional equipment. To have an own parking lot was also very important for us. Could still walk to the old town or the harbor. Has a nice patio with shade. Supermarkets are just next door.

Incredibly clean and comfortable property. Kitchen well stocked for cooking and nice toiletries in the bathroom. Great location - quiet but with a big supermarket a few minutes walk away, and a lovely beach in less than 15 mins. WiFi also excellent and TV has Netflix etc. Maria was a great host - thank you! We would definitely stay again.
