I needed to wait for a lift for 5 minutes at times. The place was not big, but it was good value for money.

Hostel facilities are pretty much non existent. Furthermore there was a typhoon on the final night of my stay and the noise from rain hitting the AC unit was incredible. I didn't get much sleep at all. Im not sure if there is anything the hotel can do about this none the less it was irritating.

Location was brilliant you really are at the heart of the city with very easy access to public transport. This included public transport to and from the airport. Staff were also very friendly and helpful when checking in.

The Filipino male worker (cleaner) had an attitude of being a bit serious all the time with no smile. During checkout we were a bit late by 15 minutes and he came to our room door with his mop and bucket and saw us still putting things in our suitcase, he just turned around with his serious face and worked away showing that he was not happy with us still being there. The water pressure was low and having a shower in the cold was a bit of a problem.

The staff were exceptionally kind and helpful. They never hesitated in providing us with our needs. The hostel stands in what I think is the most convenient location in HK with easy access to all necessities (7/11s on both sides of the building, 24/7 affordable restaurants, night markets, Mong Kok station, among others).

The staff is very nice and accommodating. She's Indonesian, friendly, and very helpful. The place is near the ladies market, sneakers streets and many more. They have basic needs like water, coffee, candies, etc. For me, I will still choose Ah Shan for my next visit. Thank you😊

It smells cigarette in the toilet everytime we go back after doing our itinerary. However, the smell goes away after minutes of using the cr. There is a bit of a long line in the elevator at night but it is a given since there are also residents here.

The property is walking distance to sneaker street, ladies market, restaurants, and malls and near the Mong Kok MTR station!

The room was not originally booked...Two beds, instead it's one bed for two guests barely accomadated and very small, one charging outlet only. The owner will change back the originally booked room on 2nd day but never did, instead gave room to other guests. Demands full or partial or compensation and filed complaints twice to Booking customer service but never replied.
