Our stay at Nino’s guest house was amazing !!! Nino recommended us so many wonderful places and restaurants, took care of us with cups of tea and coffee, amazing breakfast with fruits and vegetables from the garden, played and sang Georgian musics, and brought us to a family vineyard, where we tried Georgian wines and made a lot of toasts ! Her mom taught us Georgian food recipe, such a great experience ! And finally Nino’s house is a little paradise to relax, with nice views on the mountains ! We recommended 100% to stay at her house for your next trip to Sighnaghi !

WE LOVE NINO! Our stay at House in the Forest was amazing and a true example of Georgian hospitality. Nino welcomed us into her home with open arms, with some Georgian music, tea and snacks and many tips about the surrounding town. She organised a special wine tour with a local winemaker where we could try amazing local wines and produce and even have a go at being the toastmaster. Despite us leaving early in the morning, she still got up and made us a nice breakfast with bread, cheese, jam, salad and coffee, and made us eggs the morning before. The location is also great - we took a morning walk to the monastery and could walk easily into the main town in around 15 mins. It was amazing to meet Nino and I would love to stay there again when I return to Georgia.

This is very much a home stay, and the house belongs to Nino our host. Nino offers excellent service and hospitality, Georgian style. She provides excellent information where to go and what to see in the area. She gave us a taste of Georgian music, and delicious Georgian food every morning. Nino arranged taxis for us, one day to the village and also after our stay, she arranged a taxi for us to Telavi. Nino also was an excellent tour guide taking us for wine tasting at a local vineyard, and to visit a silk farm. We were quite sick with colds, and the weather also was cold and wet. Because of this we did hunker down in our room a bit more than we usually do. But it was quite comfortable with large cosy wing back chairs. Unfortunately we were not able to spend time on her lovely patio, due to the weather. However I can see myself cuddling up on her swinging chairs, with her sweet cats. Thank you Nino for a great experience.

We had a beautiful time in Nino’s House in the Forest. Nino was such a fun host full of local insights and stories, and she’s built an amazing guest house with a jaw dropping balcony view. If you’re in the mood you can spend hours talking with her: she’s an English and Russian language teacher. Nino helped us get into town with a lift from her friend, and made us some hearty breakfasts each morning (whatever time you like to have it) We’ve also been treated to a wine tasting at her friends’ home; experiencing the ancient Georgian tradition of Qvery wine production (and drinking generously from clay bowls). So yes we can say we’ve been spoiled by true Georgian hospitality, and it’s by someone who’s open and curious to meet new people from around the globe. Nino is planning to expand and make the House in the Forest even bigger next year and we would 100% like to come back and see her and the beautiful surroundings again. We’d also love to hear some more of her traditional folk songs! Thanks Nino!

it was my 3rd time there and I love it every time. I wish every time to stay longer. The area is peaceful, the cats contribute to it, Nino is a gem, always ready to help and very talented person. Her English is fantastic btw (she is also an English teacher). THe internet is great so I could also work on my computer. A short walk to Signagi and you can feel this beautiful town.

We loved the quiet green location just a beautiful 15 minute walk from the town centre, the comfortable clean room, the excellent wifi but most of all we loved our lovely host Nino who did everything to ensure we had a great stay.

Everything. It was my second time there. I love the fact Nino speaks English and understands Western mentality. It s nice to have conversation with her. She is an English teacher by the way. She has lovely cats. Nice view from the terrace and some fruits . Although it is not in Signagi you can easily reach it on foot from a road which leads there. I like the vibe… it is peaceful, away from the sometimes hassle of the town. The internet is strong so if you, like me, work online, you don’t have to worry. I would again go there if I come back. Did I mention she plays local instrument ?

The host Nino could not have been more welcoming. She left no stone unturned to make our time in the guesthouse comfortable. When people talk about Georgians being hospitable, they are talking about Nino. Highly recommend if you want to see the real Georgia.

The listing mentions washing machine, kitchen, living area which isn’t technically correct. The booking is for the bedroom/bathroom only. It is possible to ask Nino to use the fridge or do a load of washing, but it does not offer the same level of independence and privacy. Location is outside of town, 15min walk downhill/uphill. Not a problem if you like to walk or have a car but otherwise not central. Breakfast is a very simple affair unlike the generous, home-cooked breakfast spreads we were treated to at other guesthouses. In total fairness, one cannot really complain considering the very affordable room price.

Room is spacious and comfortable, great bedding, good bathroom. Terrasse is pleasant. Nino, the host, goes above and beyond to make her guests’s stay a pleasant experience. Communication is very fluid and she speaks perfect English. For those interested in cultural immersion, she can arrange cooking classes with her mum (recommended!), a private music performance, etc.

We had a lovely time at Nino's place. She was sweet, welcoming and so hospitable! The place is quiet and comfortable. And her cat just had tiny kittens which provided endless entertainment.

We didn’t mind this at all and you shouldn’t either—it’s a fair walk outside of town but taxis are SO CHEAP (using Bolt makes it easier!) that it shouldn’t matter at all.

Very sweet spot literally in a beautiful, leafy forest! Silent (except for some happy birds and chickens in the background)—our best night’s sleep in Georgia! MOST COMFORTABLE bed and sheets ever, best little patio for quiet reading and reflecting, and all in all a lovely environment. And the hostess Nino is a dream! True Georgian hospitality. She treated us to delicious tea and cake, played and sang otherworldly Georgian traditional music, and was so so welcoming! Don’t hesitate to stay here!

The guesthouse is not in an actual forest so don't expect to make extended walks there. The area is still peaceful and green, so nothing to really complain about here. It's not a disadvantage in any way, but keep in mind that Nino is a hardworking woman with a busy schedule (she teaches English). But she will always be there for you if you need anything.

I was so lucky to have found Nino and her lovely guesthouse! She made my stay so special because of the music lessons she gave me (Georgian singing/panduri playing). She invited her friend to come over so we were singing together and that gave me goosebumps and was unforgettable! Thanks to Nino and Maia I started playing the panduri now which I was dreaming about for a long time. Nino took me to a concert of her folk ensemble, too, and that was heartwarming and very interesting. She is a very knowledgeable woman and will tell you so many interesting things about Georgia, its traditions and the life there. Her English is very good and she really wants her guests to feel at home. Shortly after my booking she wrote me a kind message and helped me to find the correct marshrutka from Tbilisi. She even waited for me at the road to stop the marshrutka so I did not have to walk back the way from Sighnaghi! She can organise interesting activities for you, knows all the marshrutka drivers and will make sure that you get to the place you want to. In the morning she prepares a nice breakfast for you and frequently offers you tea/coffee. The room is big and everything is modern and newly renovated, including the bathroom. The place is clean. Bonus: There is a bedside lamp which is not very common normally. The WIFI is probably the best that I had in Georgia, it's powerful and works well. Thanks for everything Nino, კარგად იყავი! I would love to come back.

The host Nino is very helpful and hospitable! She waited for me on my trip to Signaghi and helped to book a seat back to Tbilisi, making my trip so easy! Thank you very much for the birthday song, the churchkhela and everything! The guesthouse has a spacious, simple but beautiful sunny garden. It’s not in the center of Signaghi, but for me, it’s better than that, it takes 10 min’s walk from Nino’s place to town center, nice walking. You can also walk from there to Bodbe monastery, for those who enjoy walking and exploring while walking, it’s ideal place to stay with totally affordable price.

Nino is an extraordinary host. She provides you with an entire Georgian cultural experience and one can see how much she enjoys having guests from all over the world and learn from her guests country. Through her we experienced Georgian folk music and she organized a private and authentic wine tour where she assisted in translating.

In this place you will experience a real Georgian hospitality. The wonderful host Nino speaks English and Russian at a high level and was happy to tell us about Georgia, and even sang Georgian songs for us and offered a master class on making churchkhela. You can also visit a nearby winery and taste wine. In the shade on a large terrace with beautiful flowers, you can hide from the heat. Every morning, Nino and her mother prepared delicious breakfasts at convenient time for us ☺️ Once again many thanks to the hostesses of the house in the forest for such a warm welcome💚

A lovely place in a village near Signaghi! The room is nice and comfortable, the terrace is nice to relax as well. Nino the host welcomed me with some homemade wine from her friend and some Georgian songs and music, this was fantastic! I got to meet some of her friends and they are all really lovely people! There are also a bunch of cats hanging around at the place and also some cute little kittens :-) Signaghi town center is about 15 minutes walk away (back on a steep uphill), there is a restaurant halfway in case you are feeling lazy to go to the town :-) I was able to park my motorcycle on the actual terrace away from the road and it was perfectly safe there. Nino has some security cameras installed anyway so that helped. Thanks Nino for your hospitality and next time I'm in Signaghi I'll be sure to stay with you again!

Nothing. When it was unusually cold Nino made sure she found a heater for us.

Nino our host was exceptionally helpful and generous, always offering coffee or tea and doing our washing at no extra charge. Her breakfasts were nutritious. She sang to us and played her musical instrument. The location was beautiful and quiet in the countryside and only a 20 minute walk to the city, offset by the stunning views on the way. The room was comfortable and we loved sitting on the verandah that looked over the valley. We felt like family.
