The room was very spacious. Nice to have bath as well as shower. We ate in the dining room both nights and food and continental breakfast was very nice.

Needs decorating, the four poster bed needs replacing with a decent bed and the bathroom needs updating.

Comfortable room overlooking the garden and canal side. Arrived late but the staff were very helpful.

We arrived on Sunday afternoon around 5pm and the bar/restaurant was closed so we couldn't check in. We had to call the manager who told us how to find our keys and our room but we would have liked to be informed of the procedure before our arrival. Also, since there was no check in face to face we weren't able to book a breakfast so it was a bit disappointing. Also, we got really cold during the night since the heater didn't work in the room.

Great little hotel easy to find. It's located next to the airport but we honestly didn't hear any plane passing by. The car park is right next to the rooms so it's perfect. There is tea, coffee and hot chocolate available in the room. The beds are comfy and clean. The bathroom was spacious.

Brilliant girl working so hard, bar, food, B and B. Unfortunately the extremely long wait for food to arrive, when you have had an extremely busy day and still have calls to make, it was rather upsetting. Managing obliging.bsr girl excellent

Breakfast not served until 9 am which is not great for business travellers like myself (meeting at 9:30 so had to be on the road before 9). Would be nice to just have some basics out like cereal, yoghurt etc. for early leavers.

My second stay at the Highwayman. Turned up late so had some difficulty locating the key store (as the place was closed) but helpful member of staff turned up to help. Great room and facilities and great value for money.

The only drawback was that there was no chef available, so meals weren't served on-site. The reason we gave an 9 instead of a 10 is simply because we couldn't eat on-site and had to go elsewhere for meals. Apart from that, everything else was fine and we enjoyed our time there.

We had a pleasant stay - the location was great, the surroundings were lovely, and the accommodation was clean and welcoming. The staff were very friendly, which made us feel at home.

Breakfast was a poor arrangement - a few things in a box with milk served up the night before in a heat wave. And no food in the evening,

Unfortunately there was no evening meal due to sickness. Whirlpool bath needs looking at as when activated it blow out black stuff into the water. I think £100 was a little over priced.

Lovely old pub,beautiful location. The staff were very friendly. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable.

The shower sealant was mouldy the shower power was weak . Very little fruit options or dietary intolerance. Breakfast has to be the big win with these stays and it was ok. . They have to improve the look its like being in school the place needs spending on and invest some charm into the place.

Position to main road and a half way point for Portsmouth ferry. Staff were lovely and helpful and trustworthy which is alot. Very comfortable night sleep and just easy going
