Lots of stairs to our second floor bedroom. It would be a good idea to make the door into the garage easier to handle. It might be an idea to have some healthy heart options available on the supper menu.

A warm and comfortable room with nice tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits and a good bathroom with excellent shampoo, hair conditioner, and soaps. Excellent breakfast. Good central location in lovely Frome. Parking available. Friendly staff.

The hotel was at the centre of Frome, the staff was helpful, and my room felt cosy. I particularly appreciated the cleanliness of the entire place.

Room a little dated but only to be expected due to the age of it

When we arrived in the afternoon it was busy but staff were very friendly and helpful. We found staff to be like this the whole stay. Food was good we were offered a nice verity for breakfast and had a freshly cooked breakfast each morning. Also booked a table for 11 people one evening and food and service was wonderful

The room was extremely warm so we had to leave the window open. Unfortunately the noise from outside was very loud and kept us from sleeping well. Also you have to go up and down several flights of stairs to get to the rooms

The staff are all really friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and clean. The breakfast and evening meal was delicious

The decor was quite shabby, especially the bathroom. I didn't sleep well as my room faced the front / main road and the curtains and door don't block out all light from street lamps and the corridor.

The hotel is very central, old and has character. The room was a good size and the bed was comfortable. There was also plenty of choice for breakfast (various cooked options, cereals, croissants, fruit, yogurt, etc.) and a choice of tea, coffee and hot chocolate in the room.

A little gem room was comfortable and cosy, excellent selection of tea,coffee,water,hot chocolate,biscuits and milks. Bathroom spacious clean and selection of good quality products to use. Staff were all polite helpful and engaging. Being able to park in the hotel was a bonus for us. Central location and affordable evening meal. We will be back.

Slightly confusing layout on top floor and finding our two rooms. Single rooms ok but quite small. Would have preferred a window net curtain as well, as my room was facing the front of the hotel so I had to close the curtains for privacy in the daytime.

Really great location. Friendly staff. Fab breakfast and evening meal. Nice atmosphere and was quite busy during the day and evening. Electric kettle, tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits in the room. Free private parking behind the hotel.

The location in the high street couldn't have been better. We are both in our 70's and there is no lift as it is an old building, I rang the George and Vicky said "Add accessable room required to booking notes". We had a lovely room on the first floor, still 9 steps up stairs but thats ok! Staff and breakfasts were very good, we didn't eat here in the evenings but the food looks good and it is popular with the locals. It is a Wadworth's managed hotel, and the beer is excellent! Parking is in a secure underground facility behind the hotel (2 metre height and tight turn in). "Limited so on a 1st come basis". Also public parking just up the street. Loved Frome and the George. Will stay there if we go back. Frome is a very interesting town with a lot of history and things to see, just be aware that there is a lot of uphill walking.

The bed and pillows were uncomfortable, so I slept poorly and woke with a sore back. Though I was there on a Sunday night, some people were making noise in the street at 11 pm. I could hear the people in bed in the room above me.

I really like the restaurant a lot. I had eaten there before, and the breakfast that's included with the room is an excellent value, with a full menu along with a breakfast bar. The people who work in the restaurant and hotel reception are all so helpful and accommodating. They held my suitcase in a secure location for me and let me wait in the restaurant until I was able to check into my room. My hotel room was attractively furnished and sparkling clean.

Shower drain blocked and bathroom needed some attention by way of luck of paint.

Breakfast was fab and staff amazing and helpful. Wayne and Lauren really stood out and were so nice to deal with.

Steep, narrow tread stairs. The building is old with lots of characters, but looking a bit tired. Distance from car park to front of hotel. Minimal space for luggage. Only one bedside lamp. Large double was 2 x 3ft zipped together, hence a ridge down the centre of the bed. Bar/dining area was incredibly noisy with 4 TVs + music. Unable to hold a conversation during supper.

Staff were friendly & helpful. Good sized room & bathroom with ample toiletries. Centre of Frome.

The showers were a bit hit and miss for hot water. The rooms were in need of updating and TLC BUT that didn't spoil our visit at all.

The atmosphere of the hotel. The beds were comfy. The staff were above and beyond expectations. Happy, friendly, good humoured and professional.

As the hotel is bang in the middle of Frome, it's great for a night out in the town. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was very good. A major bonus was parking - I travelled by motorbike and the hotel has secure, enclosed parking to the rear.
