The rooms are quite small and hot in summer there isn't air-conditioning. The beds have mattress protection, which is plastic backed, making sleep very hot. No WiFi available

The staff are very friendly and helpful. The location is perfect for the little train and plenty of walks. Parking is free with plenty of space. Breakfast is well worth it, plenty of choice, but no hot options. The hotel is quiet and close to bars and restaurants

The lantern just outside our window was very bright. We couldn't open the shutters at night because of the light.

I liked everything, except a faint smell of dampness in the corridor. I missed a kettle in the room.

The staff was very efficient. In particular a member of the staff who spoke Basque. She was very caring and diligent. The beds were very comfortable and the shower was excellent (triple room). Breakfast was varied: delicious bread, croissants and home made cakes. Nice variety of teas, good coffee. Excellent location (town's main square).

I found the corridor noise, doors slamming, etc to be a little disruptive, but that’s to be expected in a historic building like this.

Being central and by a road running right through the village with lights where traffic pulled away, it was somewhat noisy for me even at odd hours in the night. Some louder lorries too perhaps due to building works? Depends what you,re used to but rather loud if you live somewhere quiet normally.

I loved the look of the place and its central location in this small village. The staff I spoke to the most were very friendly and good fun. Interesting to watch the pelotte right outside the hotel. Several decent small restaurants close by- once you,d worked out the widely differing opening times! Nicely laid out room. Interesting associations with literary figures who visited the hotel. Very clean. Amazing church right next door .

More steps to climb to the bedrooms than I expected. The bathroom was good with a big bath and shower. But for our age it was difficult to get in and out of the bath. A separate shower would have been better for us.

Good location, comfortable room and quiet for sleeping. Freindly and helpful staff. Plenty of restaurants near the hotel. Close to public bus service as we didn't have a car.

There was a warm welcome at this family run hotel where we were given helpful advice on local attractions and restaurants. Our room had been recently renovated to a high standard and was well furnished. A friendly greeting welcomed us to the breakfast room each morning where the choice on offer was more than acceptable and set us up for the day.

Only one little thing regarding the room. It has a separate shower room and toilet room which is fine, but there is no sink in the toilet room... It's not a very big deal, it would not put me off staying there again.

Absolutely amazing authentic family run village hotel. Carolina, the lady from the breakfast room is so so welcoming! Breakfast was very tasty and plentiful. All the staff were very friendly.
