First of all I would like to start from the location, Its right on the bottom of the Udawalawe reservoir, when your staying in "Hantara Udawalawe" a stroll on the Reservoir bund is something you must do, a small walk from the hotel will make you reach the Dam and the sunset is something that will blow your mind and the walk might be amused with the birds and animals you see. the resort is a hidden gem and its shady and full of trees you can relax in the garden or in the private balcony that's in all three cabanas, the beds are very comfortable and relaxing, i did sleep well and the air condition of the room works well. the outdoor shower took my heart, it was like having bath in the nature. the resort surroundings are astonishing and loved the stay and would recomend and will come again for sure. Food was in next level the Grilled chicken was something I enjoyed and the rice and curry was fabulous as well, they make according to your requirement of your spice level, or any request will be honoured with respect. the environment of the restaurant was over whelming. the resort organizes Safari's for a good price and they provide good drivers who knows the park well and what to see in the park, they have a good eye for birds and animals, I recommend a 6 hrs safari than, a 3 hrs safari, as you will have enough time to explore the park and to see more animals. The Staff is very friendly and helpful and they will guide you with recommendations and options that you need for your vacation, they will help you out to pick your food if and will explain them well, transport will be organized by the hotel if required and the price was affordable, if you tell them where your going next they will let you know what to do and how to go. it was a pleasant and a memorable stay and will recommend to any one who's planning to go to Sri Lanka, and most definitely i will come again to enjoy the "Hantara Udawalawe" Hospitality.

Meals were served in a lovely thatched restaurant in the garden and really nice. We asked for some breakfast to take on our safari which was packed up for us. The hotel is almost opposite the elephant transit home which you can visit at feeding time. Nite- the transit home only accepts cash.Very pretty gardens in the hotel and friendly staff.

What an amazing place, what an amazing experience. First of all, thanks to all the staff members. They are extremely friendly and helpful young guys and definitely made my stay better. The hotel is much more beautiful than the pictures, I was really really impressed. My room was perfect, very stylish, big and comfortable. I had A/C and a fan, a refrigerator, selection of tea and coffee, bottled water. It's a dreamy place and I loved it. Food is also amazing. I had packed breakfast everyday and it was really good and I was out in the forest all day so did not have lunch. But the dinners, oh my god. Fantastic food, amazing ambience. I can not recommend this place enough. I'm definitely going back and probably staying longer than my previous 4 day visit.

Extra facilities include a 24-hour front desk, meeting rooms, a tour desk and ironing service. We stayed at Chill House Safari resort and also did the safari with our host, Hashan. Our room and bathroom were clean and equipped with everything we needed. The location was peaceful and surrounded by trees and wildlife while still close by the main road. We decided to have one meal at the accommodation and Hashan went out to find all the specific ingredients to make polos, which we really wanted to try. It was delicious!😋His wife and son were also very nice and always around. Our safari tour with the family went great too! It’s totally worth it. We saw quite a lot of elephants and many other animals in the park. Hashan really knows his way around well and is great at spotting anyone hiding in the bushes or trees. He also answered all of our questions about the different species. Overall, we recommend the whole experience offered at Chill House Safari Resort!❣️

But I must say that their safari service is of the highest quality. All their rooms are very high quality and very clean. Their food is very delicious. I have unforgettable memories with them.
