Situated in the heart of Polonnaruwa and overlooking the panoramic Parakrama Samudraya, The Lake House provides a peaceful getaway featuring elegantly furnished rooms and free internet access. Everything was just perfect! Staff: The staff members were truly wonderful: kind, helpful, and thoughtful at every step. They made me feel welcome and well taken care of throughout my stay. Cleanliness: Top hygiene! The entire room was spotless: from the walls and floors to the cupboards, bed, bathroom, and toilet. Everything looked and smelled freshly cleaned and well-maintained. Comfort: There was running hot water at all times, and the air conditioning kept the room comfortably cool, even during the hotter parts of the day. Safety & Atmosphere: As a solo traveler, I felt safe and at home here. The warm environment and respectful staff really made a difference. Overall: An excellent experience. Clean, comfortable, and supported by genuinely kind staff. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others! Their restaurant serves amazing dishes! And staff really pays attention to your likes and dislikes.

It is well conected with Pollanaruwa and other cities. The hosts were very kind and helpful! We came as guests and left as good friends.

The property is one of the best ones I have ever stayed in Sri Lanka. You feel luxurious as soon as you enter in, where the staff welcomes you to light up the oil to feel at home. The hotel has also kept the nature around, building houses around trees and including them in the design. It looks like a town village where you can go around and discover new and beautiful corners at every step. There is even a bathtub facing the lake of Giritale and you can enjoy a bath with an incredible view. The staff is super helpful and the food was delicious! We had buffet dinner there and we enjoyed every plate. The breakfast was also really delicious!
