It was a very relaxing stay for us, you can enjoy the sun all day long and you have everything you need. (In our case, for a couple travelling with a dog) It is clear the owners put a lot of love in it, everything is clean and in good shape. You must prepare a bit, for a stay without running water, but that is pretty easy to manage. It is calm, but not too remote, some good places for groceries, dining (simple, but good) and coffee nearby. Also contact with the host was fast and pleasant.

    The common spaces are very generous, offering several separate halls in a traditional Norwegian style, including a warm wood-fired sitting area, featuring a lot of enjoyable art on the walls, adjacent to a bar with the essentials. We always enjoy the spacious rooms for board games and conversations, and there is sufficient privacy. The billiard/pool and table tennis facilities are helpful for social purposes. The swimming pool and the sauna were operational, but we had no time to use these. The breakfast was good. The dinner was OK. We liked all members of the staff, and we salute their gestures for making our stay good.

    Vinje county is wild and beautiful and has many historical...

    Vinje county is wild and beautiful and has many historical buildings. We like to ski around Rauland and Holtardalen areas and they are connected. Take a short drive, we could also ski at Vierli and Raulandsfjell Alpinsenter AS area. It is by far the best place to ski in the western part of Norway.

    Great location if you are travelling east - west and need to...

    Great location if you are travelling east - west and need to stop. Also nice if you want to stay for a while and just relax, go hiking, sightseeing, skiing etc. Many nice places within short distance. Åmot is a peaceful place in beautiful surroundings and offers all the facilities you need. Great area to go holiday with your family, summer and winter.
