    Very nice property, ideal for family events or leisure with friends. Friendly and helpful staff. Good facilities (starting from different devices, furniture etc. and finishing with a sauna where you can chill at the end of the day and then have a nice sleep on a comfortable bed and comfy pillows :). Spacious leaving room, pleasant interior. This time we didn't order breakfast (simply because we had enough of our food during the New Year Eve period). But we ordered breakfast when we stayed at the same villa in summer and it was really good (standard set, but everything was super fresh, testy and big portions). The restaurant is nice, some dishes were suuuper delicious (I like sea food and sometimes just followed recommendations of waiters and never regretted about it). Worth mentioning that the whole area was well prepared for the Christmas and New Year period, nice decorations gave some atmosphere of magic and winter fairytale. Unfortunately rainy weather got you back to reality, but the interior of the restaurant itself made you forget about weather conditions for a while.

    This is our second stay at this beautiful, stunning place. We love the warmth you feel when you walk into the reception, the friendliness of the staff, and the charming restaurant. We even had our own little Christmas tree in our room. We are planning to make use of the Spa with our next stay. Cherry on the cake was the snow this morning :-)

    This hotel has a rich entertainment facilities, including swimming pool, sauna, tennis, golf, table tennis, bowling, trampoline, and even a children's playground.     The city center "Oude Markt" is cosy with many bars and restaurants with food from almost all over the world. We found a Dutch restaurant that we highly recommend. "De Ouwe Compagnie" at Waalstraat 39 and a French-inspired one called "Bardot" at Langestraat 47c.

    This place is very special.

    This place is very special. It is a complete contrast to the typical place. It is historic and luxurious with a strong connection to its origin as a water tower. If you like somewhere memorable and special this is the place for you.

    Our stay was too short to enjoy the indoor swimming pool and sauna, which were impressive to look at. Breakfast was sumptuous with fresh orange juice and a wide selection of hot and cold food. Our spacious room had a large balcony and the bathroom a choice of two shower heads one of which was impressive in size. The staff were wonderful from beginning to end and seemed genuinely happy to help. This would be an ideal hotel for couples and families to enjoy.

    Unfortunately, we had too little time to walk around the city during the day. We were there only in the evening and we really liked the atmosphere, very cozy, beautiful houses, shops, and art gallery. And we found a very nice restaurant for dinner. We will definitely come back.

    Not the friendliest to English speakers, asked a restaurant if they were open for me (husband and 5 month old baby too) and the waitress said "Yes, but not for you sorry". I think it may just be a language barrier as I unfortunately don't speak Dutch, but the supermarket attendant also refused to let us pay by card, when we saw others use theirs, so just a little strange and unwelcoming.

    Enschede is a pleasant medium-sized city - you'll get to know the centre within a day. There's a pedestrian area, Saturday markets and plenty of places to go for a beer or a bite to eat. We also had a pleasant cultural experience as the town's 700 year celebrations are taking place in 2025.

    I come from Hengelo so I know the town.

    I come from Hengelo so I know the town. Hotel is very close to train and bus station- very good location. Close to the library as well. A variety of cafe's, pub and restaurant in walking distance (5 min). De Twee Wezen is a great place for lunch or dinner. Albert Heyn (supermarket) also close by (10 min). Parking garage is opposite the hotel (although you do have to pay for it yourself, is not included. E10 for 24 hours parking, can be arranged at the hotel which was practical.

    Perfectly sized town to visit, many shops, cafés and restaurants, as well as museums. Unfortunately I could only visit Enschede for a day, I would have liked to check out the town a bit more closely with more time. Very clean and lively.

    The huge spacious room with great big comfy bed was fabulous. Air con, balcony, separate toilet and shower room, but beware! The wet tiled floor may be lethal! The restaurant is fantastic, great food and lovely staff. The digital key proved to be a bit of a stressful fiasco until we could actually download it.
