- From US$420.88 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.5Very good - What previous guests thought, 97 reviewsOur stay at Oakley Court was absolutely incredible. The recent renovations are out of this world—hats off to the interior designers! The photos don’t do it justice; in real life, it's like stepping onto the set of a period drama. Think Bridgerton, Downton Abbey, or a Jane Austen film set in the heart of the English countryside. They’ve masterfully preserved the period features while blending in all the modern comforts. The entire property radiates elegance and calm, with a beautifully relaxed atmosphere throughout. Our room was spacious, gorgeously decorated, and incredibly comfortable. The food was excellent everywhere we dined, and the prices—whether for food, drinks, or accommodation—were surprisingly reasonable for such a high-end experience. Every single staff member we encountered was warm, attentive, and genuinely lovely. A special highlight was Soho River House—what a fabulous perk for hotel guests! A unique, stylish addition to an already perfect escape. I had a beautiful weekend with my two adult daughters and left feeling completely refreshed. We were positively surprised at every turn—everything exceeded our expectations. Worth every penny!Guest review byAtinaCyprus
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.3Very good - What previous guests thought, 852 reviewsA very friendly welcome. Our room was huge with a very comfortable bed and a big, deep bath which was lovely. Both of our breakfasts were delicious! Very accommodating with dietary requirements. The gluten free bread was really yummy! We had an evening meal here and the food was incredible. The chocolate mousse is a must! Along with some yummy seasonal cocktails. Unexpectedly, there was a Jazz band playing and they were amazing. They were fascinating to watch and played a variation of songs including ones we all knew. It felt like a private concert! And,of course, not forgetting the super lovely pub dog which made my day. Thanks for a fabulous time, we would definitely come to stay/ eat here again.Guest review byPhoebeUnited Kingdom

Bar and restaurant were really good. Staff were friendly. Our room - a deluxe double was a nice size and very comfortable. The pool area was wonderful. Very relaxing. The spa is being renovated. I’m sure that it will be fabulous. Didn’t detract from our visit. Breakfast was fabulous. Lovely omelette made by chef. Other offerings were really good. Price was reasonable. Made use of the complimentary shuttle into Windsor. Very smiley driver. Can’t fault our trip. Would definitely recommend.Guest review byPAULAUnited Kingdom

Very relaxing and peaceful with a nice garden and good walks. Nice atmosphere in hotel and restaurant. Comfortable and clean rooms. Good food. There is the option to eat at the restaurant or to take out food or to eat something smaller in the coffee shop (open during the day). A perfect location for a business stay but also for vacation. I will definitely come back and can highly recommend this hotel.Guest review byKarinSwitzerland

The staff were very helpful and secured our touring bicycles in their Functions Room. The meals were excellent. While previous hotel guest were offered the Crown of England, were were offered an enormous full English breakfast - which is MUCH better. We'd stay here again.Guest review byScottAustralia

We didn't visit Reading.
We didn't visit Reading. We went a day before and a night after to Hanley-on-Thames with children. It was hardly 20-25 minutes drive and it was great outdoor activities combo area with various playground/ bouncy castle and riverside walk, various options available for boat hiring/ boat trips. Parking is quite tight in later hours of day, so I recommend if anyone like to visit here, try to reach in first half otherwise all two car parks get full too soon.Guest review bySwati - 10.0

This hotel is actually very close to Heathrow airport so not really in Slough. I did drive through Slough but nothing I saw would make me want to specifically visit this town. The attractions shown are not actually in Slough.Guest review byLouiseUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Loved the outlook from room. Although lake wasn’t quite as near as expected. Loved the geese especially flying in in the morning. Didn’t stay long but enjoyed afternoon walk around Newbury with coffee and cake in tearoom on canal side.Guest review bykarinUnited Kingdom - 10.0

I love bracknell because of its lovely shopping centre. The fact that it's quiet and peaceful. It's close to Ascot which is a place I love. It's a train ride away from the heart of london, in less than an hour you're there. There are some lovely park there. I thoroughly enjoyed staying there.Guest review byTambini - 6.0

My room was mid souterrain with a quite busy road at the level of and 1.5 meters from my window. 26 degrees Celcius in the room that could not be changed. Got a new room at the same level which slowly got too warm too. Breakfast OK.Guest review byAndrewUnited Kingdom - 8.0

It would have been helpful for the restaurant to have sent the account to reception for checkout. We asked if there was anything left to pay and were told it was settled via booking.com. Perhaps if we had been asked for a credit card at check-in rather then we would not have been chased for payment of the meal some days later. Despite this - the food and hotel stay were greatGuest review byMarkNew Zealand - 10.0
We loved the actual hotel.
We loved the actual hotel. Redolent with memories of a past age it has been modernised discreetly and caters to every comfort. Set in spectacular grounds and including a spa and heated outdoor swimming pool, time just flies here. The food is delicious and very varied. The whole experience is set off by the staff: friendly, attentive and extremely pleasant. We shall certainly be returning to this delightful hotel.Guest review byMaria Francesca
