- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Superb - What previous guests thought, 56 reviewsThe hotel itself and views are absolutly stunning, but what really made our stay extra special was the staff. It started at the restaurant, where everyone is not only super professional but also really kind. And this for everyone we met during our stay (3 nights). The kind of genuine kindness that unfortunatly is rather rare in French hospilately. I highly recommend this place, the restaurant, and while you are there don't hesitate a second and rent their boat for a private tour on the lake with picnic. It's nothing like the public boats and you will avoid doing a long queue. Wonderful pool. Delicious dinners. We loved our stay. Also : we are vegetarian by preference and the restaurant was very accomodating to this. Big plus. Definitly visit the little village Moustier, so pretty and nice walks starting from there.Guest review bySarahBelgium
- From US$146.76 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 386 reviewsFrom the moment we walked in we were welcomed by friendly, smiling and professional staff eager to make our one night stay as comfortable and pleasurable as possible. And it certainly was! Room was fantastic, my daughter and I were impressed by the comfort, quietness of the room and great facilities throughout the hotel, not to mention a lovely shaded area to sit outside in the heat of the day. Thank you for a beautiful stay, please don't change anything so we can afford to come back again and again in future :-)Guest review byLauraFrance
- From US$158.26 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 1,218 reviewsI could not recommend this hotel more, it is beautiful and relaxing, but especially for its amazing staff. They were extremely helpful, accommodating and nice. The lady at the reception really ensured that we had a pleasant stay and was really helpful with my requests (thank you again for everything)! It is very refreshing to be staying in this kind of establishment that truly care about its customers, I would recommend to anyone going to this region to stay at Lou Paradou!Guest review byMiaIreland
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.5Very good - What previous guests thought, 369 reviewsJust like the pictures, everything was perfect It was not busy and calm. We rented a electric grill and had a bbq on the terrace with the view and it was amazing. If you are driving up from verdon gorge, the driving up is quite hard but from the accommodation to the nearest town isn’t bad and close by. I would definitely recommend and come back for longer stays The cabin was big enough for two but would be quite small for 4 adultsGuest review byYejiUnited Kingdom
- From US$103.32 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.1Superb - What previous guests thought, 1,729 reviewsAmazing location for the camping place, in a valley offering shadow in the morning meaning a shilly night making sleeping in a tent effortless. Free coffee in the morning and options for ordering fresh bread and pastries for a small fee. Place for cooking available, and the pool area very appreciated. Comparing to other camping spots we drove by, this seems to be the greenest with wonderful wood figure craftmanship.Guest review byMiraSweden
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 7.9Good - What previous guests thought, 476 reviewsEverything! The pool was amazing, the facilities were beautiful, and the grounds were peaceful and spotless. Our accommodation was top quality — quiet, tranquil, and perfect for a relaxing break. We loved that we could bring our dog, and the parking was super easy. The staff were warm and helpful, and we felt completely looked after. We originally booked one week… and stayed for two. That says it all!Guest review byBarryUnited Kingdom
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.4Superb - What previous guests thought, 524 reviewsThe staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel feels more like a bed and breakfast because of the personal feel. The room was very large without balcony and AC good and cold but did not see how to make it less cool. The breakfast was a served continental breakfast with an add on of eggs, cheese and meat. 10 plus minute walk to town. It had a nice small pool and jacuzzi which was very niceGuest review byMARCUnited States

Great selection at breakfast and was really good to be able to take food with us, as we had early starts. We didnt use swimming pool but looked a good size.Guest review byJasonUnited Kingdom

Beautiful town with everything at your fingertips.
Beautiful town with everything at your fingertips. I didn't visit surrounding places during my visit but there are plenty within easy driving distance. A month later and the lavender fields would have been in full bloom but in May I had great weather, good hikes and less people than in June. May was pretty busy. Dozens of good restaurants, cafes and bars and shops galore.Guest review bySusanFrance - 10.0

This is a nice, typical small town of the South of France. When we were there, it was the open air market, it was quite packed with tourists. We would have probably enjoyed the town itself more with less people, but at the same time it was a great atmosphere.Guest review byMathiasSwitzerland - 10.0

Sisteron is in an amazing location - it really *is* the border of provence, and is quite visible in the vegetation, for example. The Citadelle itself is amazing, and well worth the visit (in spite of the number of steps for a lot of viewing). And for those of you who are vegetarian or vegan, Sisteron is lucky to have "O végé du Coin", where the organic food is innovative, and a real pleasure.Guest review byfrancoisSwitzerland - 10.0

I came to Digne because of its higher altitude hoping to be a few degrees cooler than other parts of southern France and also the lure of thermal baths. The baths have modern facilities and are a short bus ride out of town and are very clean with good attention paid to hygiene. They have good changing booths and security for belongings. The baths are closed only on Tuesdays. The New Saigon buffet restaurant is very good value. Digne has some interesting old streets to explore. The narrow guage train is a lovely scenic trip down to Nice.Guest review byKathyArgentina - 8.0

This is a nice little town with a range of shops bars and restaurants. It has a very large spa in it. The river and small gardens are very picturesque. Loads of walks from the Town and really good cycling country. It is quite a way from the main Verdon Gorge but there are some lovely smaller gorges nearby. I would go back to explore further in cooler weather.Guest review byStephenUnited Kingdom - 6.0

You need a reason to be in Barcelonnette. It is not a destination in itself. But good selection of restaurants and pedestrian fares. If you are motorcycling or bicycling, what a great launching point!Guest review byWarrenUnited States - 8.0

Jausiers is on the crossroads of two slightly different routes of the Route des Grandes Alpes: one via Col de la Bonette and another one via Col de la Cayolle. The Route is magnificent. Would strongly recommend to include in the Route the Gorges du Cians and, especially, Gorges de Daluis.Guest review byMykolaBelgium - 10.0

Ideally situated close to Gorges du Verdon and the lavender fields. You have a bus that can take you to the departure site for the hike and take you back at the end of the canyon (after 6 hours one way). In the city centre you have lots of options for restaurants, shops and local artisans.Guest review byVasileSwitzerland - 8.0
It’s a stunning place.
It’s a stunning place. I stopped there because I wanted to see its surroundings like the gorge du Verdon. I stayed in in the beginning of December and everything was shut. There was a very few options available to get lunch and and only one place open for dinner.Guest review byMannyItaly
