- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Superb - What previous guests thought, 434 reviewsA little piece of paradise — with a heart We’ve just spent six days at Maui Palms, and honestly, we didn’t want to leave. From the moment we arrived, we felt more like guests in someone’s home than visitors in a hotel. There’s a genuine warmth here that’s hard to describe — you’re not just looked after, you’re truly cared for. The entire team goes above and beyond to make sure you’re happy. You only have to ask, and it’s already being arranged. Whether it’s help with an activity, a special meal, or just a chat, nothing is too much trouble. And the atmosphere among the staff? It’s like one big happy family. You can feel they enjoy working together — and that joy spills over into everything they do. We felt completely pampered, relaxed, and welcomed in every possible way. Maui Palms is not just a beautiful place to stay, it’s a beautiful experience to have. We’ll remember it with a big smile — and hope to return one day.Guest review byWakkerNetherlands
- From US$193.11 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.3Very good - What previous guests thought, 108 reviewsVinaka vakalevu to Jo, Hannah, and the amazing team at Wellesley Resort for an unforgettable stay. We were only there three nights, but it left a life-changing impression on us. This isn’t a party resort — it’s calm, peaceful, and pristine, with a private beach that feels like paradise. The food was outstanding (every dish exceeded expectations — especially the curries, fresh fish, and tropical breakfasts). What makes Wellesley truly special is the connection to the local community. Playing rugby on the beach with kids, joining a Sunday church service, sharing meals with families, and experiencing Fijian traditions like kava and fishing gave us memories we’ll treasure forever. If you visit, bring along clothes or school supplies to donate — it’s a small gesture that means so much to the village. Wellesley isn’t just a holiday — it’s an experience that stays with you. We can’t wait to return. Sota tale ♥Guest review byLoïcSwitzerland

Bura was just the right size for a couple, it was clean and the bed was so comfortable, fresh towels when needed tea and coffee facilities provided staff were so friendly and helpful. It was located off the main road but if you needed a lift to road staff would take you , anything you needed just ask !!!! When we left staff sang us a traditional Fiji song to wish us well on our way , it was so touching.Guest review bySandraUnited Kingdom

I was travelling alone but it felt like I was staying with family. The staff are amazing! There is an activity station where you can rent snorkel equipment or book a scuba tour. The beach is awesome and the water is warm and clear. I hope to return one day. Make new friends! Try the kava! Try the lovo! Go snorkeling! Enjoy Fiji! I have been to both Suva & Nadi and definitely think this area is much better. Good range of places to stay. Great beach especially where we stayed (Bedarra Inn). Sigatoka is the home of rugby & 7's and the locals are awesome.Guest review byGRACENew Zealand - 4.0

A beautiful beach spoilt by floating litter and rubbish in the water. I have seen this often around the world and understand that it is a side effect of a bigger issue. I consider myself quite resilient but did not feel comfortable swimming here. Would be a good photo op if not intending to swim.Guest review byAdamAustralia - 10.0

We loved the area as it was not too busy, Maui Bay had a supermarket, open area restaurants and the Indian/Thai restaurant on the main road was amazing. We hired a car for 4 days and saw lots of the area and met many locals and found some great swimming spots that had lots of sand without too many rocks/corals.Guest review byAnthonyAustralia - 10.0
Overall, it was a great trip.
Overall, it was a great trip. Several onsite restaurants catered to all types of palette, friendly staff, good food and beautiful resort. Lagoon water was warm and great for a light swim/dip. We stayed in a lagoon facing burre - great views and lovely room. Infinity pool, Fish bar was the highlight of the trip.Guest review byManiNew Zealand - 10.0

This is a great option for those not wanting a smaller island holiday. Allow a good hour to transfer to/from Nadi Airport. If you're wanting to visit a local town, Sigatoka isn't that far away. Take a taxi, go to the local market and look around the shops.Guest review bySusanNew Zealand - 10.0

Great location, around 1hr 40min from Nadi airport. similar distance to Suva. Safe beach and great pool. Plenty of activities for adults and kids. Village tour was informative and a small glimpse into village life.Guest review byChristopherNew Zealand - 8.0
Sigatoka sand Dunes National Park well worth a visit,...
Sigatoka sand Dunes National Park well worth a visit, exceptional landscape & heritage significance; a number of well maintained trails lead out from the visitor centre, with attractive coastline and mature beach forest to the west (plenty fruit bats at dusk!). The place is easily accessible from Sigatoka town , with regular, cheap mini buses running along the highway. If your'e into archaeology, like me, there's also the Tavuni hill fort located close by, besides Naroro village in the lower Sigatoka Valley.Guest review byStefanAustralia - 10.0
We had a great stay!
We had a great stay! The room was superb — clean, spacious, and very comfortable. As locals, we really appreciated the little touches that made it feel like a home away from home. Ed, the Manager, was very friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. It was the perfect spot for a quick getaway without having to travel far. Highly recommended for both locals and visitors looking for a relaxing stay.Guest review byJane - 8.0
Booked as a Resort, isnt really.
Booked as a Resort, isnt really. Quiet was welcome, staff friendly, underserviced ( no laundry anywhere) room service great, restaurant great, internet is a shocker, better to put the Tech away and enjoy the hospitalityGuest review byBruceAustralia - 8.0
Lovely village with friendly people on a great beach.
Lovely village with friendly people on a great beach. Food in the resort is not great and there is no where else to eat within walking distance. I would hire a car and then visit some other places to eat. Its quite a way off the main road and you would need a taxi to get there but then you can use bus system.Guest review byJoNew Zealand
