- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Superb - What previous guests thought, 2,940 reviewsThis hotel is incredible - right next to the Santiago de Compostela, the location couldn't be more perfect. The room we had was so large, we thought there had been a mistake, but no - it's just an incredible property, and you do feel like Medieval Catholic Royalty when you stay there. The breakfast was delicious - although it was our first time experiencing tableside service for ordering omelettes etc ( we are used to just going up to an egg station to order!) so we were patiently guided back to our table and told to wait for the waiter to come around, which we both thought was funny! Breakfast had so many Galician specialties on it as well, we tried as much as possible, and it was all delicious. We loved walking through the hotel interior and the inner courtyards as well - it's incredibly beautiful. All of the staff were so courteous and friendly - and very patient with all of our questions. We had dinner at the Tapas restaurant our second night and would absolutely recommend it - the seafood was incredible. Even my vegan partner was chowing down on shrimp and scallops ( we joke that he is now 'Spanish Vegan' ) - and the price was more than fair.Guest review byMarielCanada
- From US$154.97 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.4Superb - What previous guests thought, 97 reviewsThe cabins are beautiful, spacious and really well equipped - we were very comfortable. The gardens are beautifully maintained, and our children loved playing in the play area and seeing all the animals - the rabbits, ducks, pony, chickens. We loved having the swimming pool so nearby - the children had so much fun there and there were floats they could use to help them swim. The owners are really welcoming and friendly. They were brilliant with our children and we loved speaking to them. We also really enjoyed having the restaurant just a couple of mins walk away with another great play area for the children. I would highly recommend!Guest review bySaraUnited Kingdom
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 1,582 reviewsAmazing hotel in the monastery building with magnificent atmosphere and energy. Was given a room with an amazing view. Unbeatable location - right in front of the Cathedral; you wake up early and you step out of the hotel in several steps right into the Cathedral and just several people inside in magnificent quietness - a moment to catch. Helpful team! Thank you!Guest review byAizhanRussia

The view from the window is like a fairy tale. The nearby beach is amazing. The host let us check in early — thank you so much! We were even given a better house than the one we booked. The kitchen has everything you need. There's a bus stop nearby. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!Guest review byLord IvanPoland

I love the old city and parks of Santiago de Compostela.
I love the old city and parks of Santiago de Compostela. It's a beautiful and spiritual place and lively too. As a vegetarian, I found it very easy to find good and nutritious food. I will definitely be visiting again to soak up the vibe.Guest review byDeepabenUnited Kingdom - 8.0
A different Spain, on the north west tip of the country.
A different Spain, on the north west tip of the country. Weather can be trying, wind and rain are ever present possibilities. Despite the hills, easily walkable. Good bus service, pay the driver. Proximity to Santiago de Compostela by rail and bus. Direct flight by Vuelling from Gatwick.Guest review byRobertUnited Kingdom - 10.0
I was pleased with my time in Arzua. I was tired.
I was pleased with my time in Arzua. I was tired. It was a long hard walk with a 40 lb pack on my back, so reaching Arzua and having a clean comfortable bed with a private bathroom and the promise of a hearty breakfast the next morning was a bonus. Also I learned that I could have someone courier my back pack to my next destination was a very welcome piece of news.Guest review byPamelaCanada - 10.0

We just spent one night in Padron and were fortunate to be there during the Pascua de Padron. Aside from the must-see sights, we were also able to immerse ourselves with the Padron townsfolk during the festive celebration of the Pascua de Padron. Must see sights are the Convento del Carmen which will give one a good hilltop view of Padron. Should also visit the Iglesia de Santiago where you will find the "Pedron" or mooring stone, believed to be stone where the boat carrying the remains of St James (Santiago) was tied to.Guest review byEarl StanleyPhilippines - 8.0

O Pedrouzo is a small town on the way to El Camino De Compostela. We only needed to stay one night and that was enough. I'm not sure if there were much to do in town. We tried two restaurants El Bule and Galaicos that serve traditional Galician food. Prices were fair and food was good.Guest review byJuan - 10.0
We only stayed a night because we were on the Camino.
We only stayed a night because we were on the Camino. We would have wanted to stay longer, the city had many historic places and old churches, but a many were closed (we were there on a Sunday). There was a farmer's market which had many interesting artisanal food. The cafes were bustling - we only had time for churros con chocolate (where we ordered double because it was sooo good) - but there were many food places - bakeries, pastry shops, cheese, jamon, and everything in between. Would love to come back and spend more time in this beautiful city. The city was bounded by mini forests which was a joy to traverse, with the trail dotted by chestnuts.Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0

Fisterra is a quaint, small fishing town, with regular daily catches. So near the harbour is does smell of fish but many of the local restaurants have a great reputation for sea food. There are several great places to walk for the day; coastal paths, beaches (Fora, & Arnela) are a good walk (3-6 miles) but really worth it. Stunning scenery.Guest review byStephenUnited Kingdom - 8.0

We loved Ferrol - it is a small quiet city with lovely plazas and gardens and beautiful architecture. The grid design makes it easy to navigate and there were plenty of good places to eat the delicious local food. We walked everywhere and didn’t need transport.Guest review byAnneIsle of Man - 10.0
