There was such a warm vibe to this place. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and calm. Considering the bad news that I had received only three days prior to arriving, and despite not having the energy to partake in the meditation, I still walked away from La Curandera feeling somewhat emotionally healed and at peace with myself. Aside from the wonderful staff and their affectionate dog, Zchun or June (I hope I got that right), the food was fresh and delicious, and the room was exactly as promised on Booking.com - in fact, it exceeded my expectations. When I return to Ibiza, I'll be returning here.

The view from our room was fabulous. Staff were cheerful, friendly and helpful. A short pleasant walk to the dining room and you were greeted by welcoming staff and a very good breakfast, Walks along the coast were enjoyable and not too demanding. Pleasant 15 minute stroll to restaurants and the old town (worth a visit). Altogether a very enjoyable stay.

An island of surprises

Even though it's famous for fantastic clubbing, Ibiza is so much more and makes a surprisingly good family destination. Booking.com’s range of apartments, B&Bs and hotels in Ibiza cover all kinds of holiday. The main nightlife is centred around San Antonio, where superclubs Es Paradis and Eden only kick off after midnight. Playa d’en Bossa also has amazing clubs including Space which attracts big-name DJs year after year. Nearby Ibiza Town (or Eivissa) is the island’s capital, and although it has its fair share of bars and restaurants, the feel is more laidback. The cobbled streets in its walled Old Town, overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, offer a spot of shade from the Spanish sun. Along the coast is Santa Eulalia del Rio, an altogether more exclusive resort whose marina is lined with expensive yachts. However, the best family hotels in Ibiza are in northern resorts like Portinatx and Port de San Miguel. Here crystal-clear waters lap sandy beaches hidden in rocky coves. The scenery is simply stunning and the vibe couldn’t be more different to down south. Inland Ibiza still retains much of its original character. Hiring a bike is a great way to explore sleepy villages like Santa Agnès and San Rafael, though be warned – some of the terrain can be tricky!

From the moment we arrived we were greated with a smile check in was smooth and fast , up to the room which was impeccably clean and spacious with a lovely little balcony so we could have a cigarette. Pool area and staff in the bar area were amazing , friendly and bloody good at their job!     Been returning a few times. I always stay at the end of the bay as a solo traveller and get best both worlds. Great bus service to the airport all the way for just four euro. Lovely coastline walk around the bay well past marina and Cafe Mambo. Try some food at Skinny Kitchen. Simple cannot recommend O Beach enough, be prepared for an epic time. Pricey yes but worth it. Lockers available. I booked a tour online that included O Beach and Eden!!

    Staying in Playa d'en Bossa is great if your idea is to go clubbing and bars at night. It makes it easier to everything walking distance. However, if your trip also is for relaxing purposes or with family, I would rather choose another area of Ibiza and less expensive as well.

    The town is peaceful, as long as you don’t stay right in the center. There are plenty of shops around, including a Lidl where you can find everything you need for a longer stay. Within just 8 kilometers you’ll find several truly amazing beaches. Another highlight are the beautiful sunsets, which can be admired perfectly from this side of the island. For me, it was a perfect choice – ideal both for a family holiday with kids and for a getaway without them.

    Close to the ferry terminal, and also close to transportation to the old town. The City Boat ferry is very convenient but be careful - there are 4 ferries and you need to ensure you take the Talamanca ferry from the old town, otherwise you will be heading in the opposite direction.

    Close to beach, good access to boat jetty and taxis. . Little bit corporate, lots of stairs, bit disjointed but there are lifts. Cleanliness in restaurant not good. Asked for a quiet room and was allocated one under the restaurant. Heard lots of noises, banging in one case, went to restaurant to bring it their attention, apparently they were chopping meat.

    Portinatx if beautiful. The main attraction is the bay.. The beach is just brilliant for children. The sand is lovely and soft, plenty of sun beds ( although expensive €24 for 2 with and umbrella - Crete was €10 for better beds ) The water is nice and clear, brilliant place for snorkelling. Loads of fish to see ( Bream / Wrasse / Sting Ray / Octopus ).. The swimming are has life guards and a clear swimming area. Pedlos, paddle boards, Ribs. Plenty of restaurants, bars and supermarkets. Just beautiful.

    A nice easy going, destination hub to visit the island by...

    A nice easy going, destination hub to visit the island by boats or by bus ... when you are alone and without necessary renting a car Do not forget to take a look at the museum ! Nice exhibition there I like the freedom and diversity of the people living there.
