Featuring free bikes and views of garden, The Stable Yard House at Burtown House & Gardens is a villa situated in a historic building in Athy, 8.7 km from Athy Heritage Centre-Museum. 1) The food: we had 2 superb lunches. 2) The staff: went out of their way to take care of us. Carless, we were attending a wedding at another property seven miles away on what (unknown to us) was the busiest weekend of the summer--taxis were not available. Joanna Fennel arranged for a staff member to shuttle us to the wedding events. 3) the ambiance of the working farm and the garden-to-table ethos; and 4) the bed was really comfortable.
