I have travelled all over the world using Booking.com, including many boutique-type hotels. It is rare that a hotel exceeds my expectations in every respect. This one did. This hotel is a relatively new, well-situated hotel in the heart of the old town, Cartagena. We asked for a quiet room, and received one. The only disadvantage with the room was that windows did not look out on anything and that they were sealed, but the room was relatively quiet in a very noisy city. To have a balcony room with openable windows means a lot of noise at night in Cartagena. We preferred to sleep! The room we had was equipped with a comfortable king-size bed, lots of room and a very good bathroom, complete with a large shower and a Japanese toilet (which is relatively rare in my experience). We initially had some difficulty with the TV, but staff rectified the problem quickly. The AC worked well and the room is equipped with a ceiling fan if one prefers to use it- we used both. The design of the hotel, including the finishes, demonstrates a well-thought out, professional team was involved. I was particularly impressed by the overall design of the common areas of the hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good. The pool on level 4 is small but adequate for cooling down in a hot city. The hotel offers massage services. The companion hotel (Hotel Boutique Casona del Colegio) is available for meals and has a larger pool; it is located only 150 metres away, which is very convenient. For the cost, this hotel is a very good choice, allowing one to walk all over the old town and neighboring areas. Assuming that the hotel maintains its service standards and keeps its facilities in good condition, this is a hotel that I recommend without reservation.

It’s a really beautiful property, the hotel has a great food and cocktails program. There’s many pools to enjoy, the beach is very well maintained and the staff all around the hotel are lovely!

Casona de Colegio in Cartagena de Indias provides accommodation with a garden a terrace, an infinity pool and a bar. Stunning properly with wonderful touches — a welcome drink, beautiful decor, excellent service. The bed and pillows were SUPER comfortable (best ever), the shower and toiletries were among the best also.

Set in Cartagena de Indias, a few steps from Bocagrande Beach, Hyatt Regency Cartagena offers accommodation with a restaurant, free private parking, an outdoor swimming pool and a bar. Very clean with an excellent view. Housekeeper Ada Luz was very good. Staff was friendly and helpful

I really enjoyed the exceptional service and a stunning central garden for relaxation. The café serves gourmet coffee artisanal, and the communal jacuzzi provides a soothing retreat. I loved the concept and I will come back for another memorable and inspiring ocassion.

The food would excellent. Option plenty. We ate all our meals at Thani and everything was awesome. The staff was very accommodating. Although there really is very little beach front we were able to access the water just a short walk away. Thani is definitely the best spot along Playa Blanca.

We had an unforgettable 3-night stay in Cartagena, and one of the highlights was celebrating New Year’s Eve with our incredible host, Ofrey, and his lovely family. They welcomed us with open arms, making us feel right at home in a truly special way. Sharing in their warmth and joy made the experience even more memorable. We also appreciated the authenticity of the neighborhood, which gave us a real sense of local life. It was vibrant, safe, and full of character. The nearby food options were fantastic—we enjoyed everything from fresh local seafood to delicious street food, and every meal was an adventure in itself. If you’re looking for a stay where you’ll feel like part of the community while being surrounded by great food and wonderful people, this is the place to be. Highly recommended!

Abel Boutique House se nachází v dobré lokalitě v destinaci Cartagena a poskytuje terasu a bezplatné Wi-Fi. When we visited, Abel was brand new, and no one had actually slept in the room we got before us. With that, it was super fresh and all nice and clean. The bed was really comfy and pillows as well. Also, many places along the Caribbean shore don't have warm showers, but here, they did. Where we stayed, in the garden house on the north side of the street (Abel has two houses, one of each side of the street), it was an outdoor patio as well. Perfect for exercise! What we also liked was that they gave us breakfast (fresh fruit, coffee and cereal) in the morning, and they also had a laundry service we used before continuing on our carribean tour. Well needed :) Abel is located on Manga, which is a location we really like. It is a short walk to the bridge, taking you to the (old) city center, but way calmer than inside the main city. Around the corner is a nice marina and a good outdoor sportcenter, which we like to use.
