Located in Chitwan, 1.2 km from Tharu Cultural Museum, Hotel Tree Tops- A Serene Friendly Hotel in Sauraha provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. We had a wonderful stay at the Tree Tops. The room was very comfortable and there was plenty of space. Shower was hot and the WiFi always worked! The balcony was a lovely place to relax at the end of the day. The rear window overlooked the rice fields and the sunrise and sunset views were stunning. The restaurant provided us with some of the best meals we’ve had on our journey. Tham Magar is a fabulous cook. Eating on the porch was magical and let us watch the world go by. We were not far from the high street in Sauraha but we spent most of our time exploring the local Tharu community which lies in the opposite direction. (The Tharu cultural museum in that community is well worth a visit.) Since we were in Chitwan to visit Nepalese friends, we didn’t do any of the jungle treks but there is a wealth to choose from and the owner, Mr. Dilip Poudel, and his son, Sanjay can organize those for you. (Mr. Poudel was always a wonderful source of information!) As travelers for the last few years, we believe that location and the quality of the accommodations are key. However, the heart and soul of a hotel is the owners and staff. In addition to the Poudels, Diup Chaudhary was constantly a source of kindness and support. His smile is infectious. And Rina And Sabitri made sure that everything and everyone was well cared for at the Tree Tops. Definitely a 10/10!

Boasting mountain views, Hotel National Park- A peaceful Family home where you can stay Peace and Enjoy and Organize the wildlife Safari features accommodation with terrace, around 1.4 km from Tharu... The staff is amazing and can organize everything for you from the pick-up and drop-off at the bus station (for free) and the tours (canoeing/walking safara/jeep safari) at a very fair price. They also provide complementary sunset walks and will give you a heads up to see the rhino when it is close to the hotel. If you have the time, try to stay at least a couple of days to try all the different ways to explore the nature as every option is unique! For the solo travellers: while it is a hotel, it is very easy to meet people as you will do the jungle tours with the people staying in the hotel. Lastly, a shoutout to the dog! Not sure if it is the best guard dog as it only walks a few meters a day, but he/she is always there for you.

Situated in Sauraha, 1.6 km from Tharu Cultural Museum, Hotel Aikawa features accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a fitness centre and a garden. This is a luxury hotel at an affordable price. The decor and fixtures and fittings are stylish and modern. The shower was the best! All staff were all so friendly and helpful. We were looked after so well. Milan at the front desk made sure our holiday went smoothly and was very attentive to all our needs. The breakfast was delicious with excellent coffees. We also ate dinner and lunch here and all the food we ate was delicious and reasonably priced too. We did 3 excellent trips with Raj our very knowledgeable safari guide - a walking safari, a canoe trip and a jeep safari. Due to Raj’s knowledge and patience we got to see a wild rhino up close! All the staff made us feel like family and nothing was too much trouble. We were sad to leave. Milan arranged private transport for us to Bhaktapur and it’s a long drive but the driver was very professional and safe. Highly recommend everything about this hotel! It was even an easy 10 min walk to Main St and the sunset viewing platform in town.

Featuring mountain views, Tara guesthouse - Sauraha, Chitwan provides accommodation with terrace, around 2.5 km from Tharu Cultural Museum. Nice place in a quiet area short walking distance to the main road. The food is delicious and everything is made fresh at the moment. The staff is lovely and a special thank to the owner, a young guy, helpful, respectful and the love he got for what he is doing is fantastic. I suggest to do the tours with him because is cheap compared to the other ones and it is worth it. Avoid the big resort and chose local home stay to help them with their project. Bikki number one ☝️

A good location for a relaxing getaway in Sauraha, Tiger Corner Inn Homestay is a bed and breakfast surrounded by views of the quiet street. lovely stay with a family homestay They welcomed me warmly and made me feel at home at all times. My room had everything I needed, including a well working hot shower — a real treat after a day out in the park. The inn itself is perfectly located in my opinion: You’re away from the busy main road, but both the village centre and the bus station are easy to reach by foot within a few minutes walk. When I wanted to go to the neighboring village for a little trip, they also kindly let me borrow a bicycle. I went on two walking Safaris led by Isswor who has decades of experience in the area. We were accompanied by Ram as a second guide and both of them always managed to find great spots to have some close but respectful & safe animal encounters.

The property features mountain and lake views, and is 1.8 km from Tharu Cultural Museum. - VERY cheap (800NPR/5-6USD), but still a good private room - very nice and helpful staff - Wifi - Soap / toilet paper available - bed comfortable - quiet at night - Card payment possible - Booked safaris good 😊

Located in Chitwan, 40 km from Tharu Cultural Museum, Chital lodge provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. This 1-star hotel offers a bar. When you come to Chitwan, your main purpose is to see the animals. Bishnu is the best for this purpose you can find in the area. He has been in the jungle since his very early years, he knows Chitwan better than I know my neighborhood. Plus he is an excellent manager and tries to do everything for you way and beyond. The food his wife is cooking is the best we ate in Nepal, since it's true home cooking. They are all very attentive to your needs. And we fulfilled the purpose: all kinds of deers, monkeys, birds, crocodile and the close encounter with the rhino! What we also liked is the location. It's the other part of Chitwan, far from the crowds and touts. The facilities are very simple, but it's expected. You have very comfortable beds with mosquito nets and hot water.
