The place is absolutely beautiful and Hassan is the best host EVER. He speaks multiple languages and all he wants is for us to enjoy the place and feel at home. We started with a beautiful camel ride through the desert at sunset, got to the camp to freshen up, had a delicious multi-course meal (it’s amazing what Hassan can do in the desert!) and then we sang by a bonfire. Got up to see the sunrise (so gorgeous ?) and had an enormous breakfast waiting for us.

Right from check-in, Youssef and his team welcomed us warmly, making us feel truly at home. Their friendliness and genuine helpfulness made our stay exceptional. The breakfast they served was beyond impressive—each morning was a wow moment, setting the perfect tone for our days. In a moment of distress when my car got stuck in the sand, Youssef came to the rescue within minutes after I reached out to him. His swift assistance in getting the car out was a lifesaver. When I tried to inquire about costs, Youssef's only concern was our safety on the road. The rooms were spacious, adorned with beautiful furniture, making our stay even more comfortable and enjoyable. I can't recommend this riad highly enough; it's an experience that's bound to make anyone's stay memorable. I'm already planning my return—100% sure I'll be back. For all of us, we had not been to the desert before, so everything felt new and exciting. We really enjoyed the camel ride, and watching the sun go down from the dunes was special. Back at the camp we ate well, and we really enjoyed some nice times around the fire with music, without it ever feeling like too much. We left the next morning by 4x4, which was a fun way to finish off the stay. We have already started working on our return plan.

I recently had the pleasure of spending a night at a desert camp in the Merzouga Desert, and it was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and the excitement of being in the heart of the desert. The camp is set up beautifully, with traditional Berber tents that are surprisingly comfortable, complete with cozy beds and all the essentials. The real highlight of the experience was the breathtaking sunset over the dunes, followed by a starlit sky that was unlike anything I’ve ever seen before. The dinner served was a delicious mix of traditional Moroccan dishes, and the staff was incredibly friendly, sharing stories and music around the campfire. The camel trek to the camp was an adventure in itself – a great way to experience the vastness of the desert. If you’re looking for a unique and peaceful escape, this desert camp is the perfect choice
