I liked a lot of things about this hotel. I stayed here for over a week. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is well-managed. It's great value, near enough to the main busy section (just a couple minutes away) but also far enough off the main road to be silent. Breakfast is a buffet with anything I wanted including eggs-of-choice. I could sit inside or out, reading or eating. I could watch 24-hour cricket and ask any questions about any innings in any test match ever. That's just for ex-British Empire cricket tragics. English TV stations (CNN, BBC ,...) available in my room. I would so much prefer to stay here than in a giant international you-could-be-anywhere-in-the-world hotel. If I am lucky enough to return, this is where I will book my room.

The rooms were as shown in the photos: very nice. All the ameneties provided by very helpful staff. Especially the manager who was always asking about our wellbeing and anything we may need. Overall, superb experience.

I highly recommend you Yambu Hotel. It is great value for money. The owner - Raj, as well as all the team are extremelly helpful with everything - not only with the hotel things but all the needs we had while staying there (including some health problems). You will not find a better place to stay in Kathmandu for such a good price!

Absolute gem in Thamel. From amazing staff to the facilities provided. Impeccable! This is by far the best hotel I have stayed at in the vicinity. Food prepared by the very professional and passionate chef who has worked in the US and in Gulf. Reception staff is extremely caring and vigilant, always ready to assist. The welcome drink and cold towel to fresh up is very thoughtful. Mandip was very helpful with booking our transportation and cultural dinner. Also, the bell-boy was extremely nice and made sure our stay was comfortable. Would love to stay here again! Kudos to the management for such standards.
