It is very peaceful and a nice 15 minute walk to many restaurants and beach. The staff made us feel so welcome. The bakery is top notch. I have had very delicious baked goods in multiple European countries, and this is right up there. We thought at first the mattress was a little firm(this seems standard in Japan), but ended up sleeping well.

Minshuku Sumiya se nachází na výhodném místě ve čtvrti Kawayu Onsen v destinaci Tanabe. The owner is just fantastic! Great personality, we loved all our interactions. At the end, he drove us to Kogumotori-oji for our hike. The mattress is comfortable and the breakfast is good. He prepared lunch boxes for us on request. The minshuku has robes for bathing in the hot springs and I loved how welcoming the atmosphere was. I want to return someday.

Hotel Kirinosato Takahara se nachází pouhé 2 minuty chůze od poutních cest Kumano Kodo zapsaných na seznamu světového dědictví a nabízí venkovní i vnitřní termální lázně. Excellent staff with amazing service. They were super helpful! The room is well decorated, although a bit aged, with nice view, and the onsen was a plus. The food was great as well! It was a great experience, wish we could come back again.

Ashita no Mori se nachází v ideální lokalitě ve čtvrti Kawayu Onsen v destinaci Hongú. Amazing place by the river and hot springs and for me it was absolutely the best place in the Komano kodo trail.the rooms are big, clean and comfortable with a river view. breakfast was yummy and the hot spring was private - real treat. The place run by a family all with lovely smile and beautiful good and kind eyes. Great value, highly recommended!

Yunominesou se nachází 10 minut chůze od horkého pramene Tsuboyu, který je zapsaný na seznamu světového dědictví UNESCO. The level of service was simply outstanding! From the moment we arrived (not quite dressed for any occasion, after a hefty day hike in pouring rain), to the moment we left, the staff was extremely helpful. When we found out late in the evening our planned train connection wasn't available after all, they helped us find an alternative and offered bento boxed breakfast, only to come knocking on our door 5min later when they thought of an even better option by driving us to a bus stop a few villages away early the morning. Special thanks to Tak from the front desk! Dinner and breakfast were also an exciting culinary journey :-)

K dispozici jsou tradiční večeře Kaiseki a pokoje s výhledem na záliv Nachi.... We had a group of 5 people and stayed in the Deluxe family room. Everything was clean and prepared for our arrival and the staff showed us around all of the facilities and explained everything to us in English as we did not speak much Japanese, Not all of the staff spoke English, however anytime we had a query that required it they would always help us to speak with someone who did which was extremely helpful. The room itself was extremely spacious and came with 2 large beds and 3 tatami beds that were setup for us when we went for dinner. The room had all of the amenities that you could need and also gave each person a yukata and sandals that could be worn around the entire site. The balcony overlooks the bay and other areas on the island and is very beautiful, particularly at sunrise and sunset. The food for both dinner and breakfast was exceptional. The staff were extremely attentive and explained each of the courses to us in English and were always on hand for even the smallest request. There is a fantastic walk on the top of the island that is accessible via the main lift and is a brilliant spot for photographs or just to relax in the quiet although the staff explained that it is closed when it is dark so make sure not to miss out on it if you are interested. The site has both indoor and outdoor Onsen's which are rotated between Men and Women each day. These were extremely well kept and have all of the necessities for showering beforehand etc. These were absolutely the highlight of the accommodation and I would thoroughly recommend that everyone uses them at least once during their stay. The boats to and from the mainland can be arranged with staff up to every 15 minutes and they can also arrange a free taxi shuttle service from the dock to the train station nearby I would also just like to mention about how exceptional all of the staff were. We felt welcome from the moment we set foot on the boat to the moment we stepped back off it.

Natural Hot Spring Inn Choseian - 長生庵 - se nachází v destinaci Širahama a poskytuje pokoje s klimatizací a sdílenou koupelnou. This was one of my best experiences at an onsen hotel in Japan during my 10+ years of travel. The staff were exceptional—responsive, welcoming, and able to communicate easily. Parking is right next to the hotel. Guests can enjoy the onsen facilities within the hotel and the nearby 長生湯, just a two-minute walk away. Both onsens are clean with 長生湯 offering a stunning view of the starry sky at night. There's also a restaurant nearby for supper which is convenient. Our room was spacious. We booked a 4-person room for just the two of us but the space is more than enough for 6 adults I would say! If I'm travelling with my family, I'm sure they would be super happy with the room. The food was delicious and satisfying, especially the house plum wine, which is a must-try! Overall speaking, excellent stay and great value for money!
